Buddy of mine calls me up last night and asks; "Have you ever changed
the gears on a limited slip rear like my Mustang 5.0l?". I told him that I
never had and could neither confirm or deny the rumors he has heard about
all "sorts of goodies" falling out of the rear end once opened up. Anyone
got a handy set of general instuctions for gear changes on a LSD?

| Define goodies.
I had no sweat doing my posi 10 bolt. Just the c-clips coming out
when the axle is pushed in.
Doing my 10 bolt non-posi, I had a spider gear drop out and hit me
in the head. Took me 5 minutes to figure out how to get it back
in the case once I got done cleaning my shorts.
Nothing should "fall out" except gear oil. Everything else has to
be helped to fall out.
