    Joking aside, anyone wanna answer my pipe question posed way back??

    O.K you asked for it.
    
    Drag pipes.. open pipes,very loud. Length is important for different
    types of performance.
    "slash cut" pipes is really a cosmetic thing. The end of the pipe or 
    muffler is cut at an angle.
    
    When you start to change things like pipes you better be ready to
    deal with the problem of re-jetting the carbs. 
    With the Valkyrie your really in for it. Six into one, three into
    one(on each side) and so on.
    
    Personaly, I'd give the aftermarket a little while to see what comes
    out.
    
    And remember,drag pipes will help you meet new and interesting people-
    like policemen :)

    BTW -- the Valkyrie pipes come in both 6 into 2 (3 per pipe) or
    6 into 6 configurations.  Six carbs into six drag pipes -- I
    WANT TO HEAR THAT AT REDLINE!!!!!!!!

    Let's see, the nicest way you can talk to police after whipping off
    a pile of loud pipe razzberries is probably from the ground kissing their 
    shoes...ON THE BOTTOM!  ;^>
    
    Yeah, I'd wait to see more aftermarket products and performance tests... 
    with pipes, there are 100 of em who get it WRONG for 1 who gets it
    Even the best chrome pretzel people are inconsistent from one model
    to the next.  It's still more `art' than technology, and it is rare
    that great looking, great sounding and great performing all come 
    together in that `magic' product.  It usually takes time, trial and 
    testing.

    	I did hear a CBX 6 into 6 exhaust system once.  What a sound!
    It was unlike anything I've ever heard since.  This setup was three
    pipes stacked up each side similar to Vetter's custom bike.
    
    	At least you'll be able to get at the carbs easy on that flat six.
    Which you will need to do.

    various tests of aftermarket pipes for the CBR600 and ZX600R showed how
    difficult it is to make a better than oem pipe for overall performance.
    It is a different story if looks are what drives your buying
    decision... (or the Yoshi decall..).
