Jerry,
you might want to ask Dan Miner. In the ROBBE catalog I left with
DECRCM, he might be able to find a phone or even a fax number from
ROBBE Germany (although you might be better off to call ROBBE in the US
first).
If you are still able to open the controller carefully, have a look on
the PCB. Lots of ROBBEs R/C equipment is manufactured and probably
engineered by FUTABA, and you might find some help there. In this case,
you should find FUTABA written on the PCB.
Al, doing the Umlaut is very easy. Just type <compose character>, " and
the letter you want, and you can type Schlter as well as Mhlheim. If
you have to work on an american typewriter, you can use an 'e' after
the vocal instead, as in 'Schlueter' or 'Muehlheim'.
If I can be of any more help, let me know.
Regards,
Hartmut

Since I can't read German, I'm not sure what the following means so
I'll copy it directly (I assume the words are cities or the German
equivelent of "States"). Note that this is from a sticker on the
back and appears to be put on by Hobby-Lill which appears to be a
distributer of Robbe.:

[ The "B" in "PromenadenstraBe" is supposed to be a beta (what's it

FWIW (german lesson in R/C notes) - is a special letter (there is
no capital) and is pronounced as a hard 's' (spelled as 'sz').
Strae = street. If you don't have the letter on your typewriter or
if you write a word in all capital letters, you can use a double
's' as in STRASSE. On a Digital keybord, you type <compose character>
and a double s. Having the lets you know that the vocal in advance
is pronounced long (ah) and you still have a hard 's'.
Hope this helps.

Hartmut

| Here's the address for Weston Aerodesign. They carry lots of
composite comstruction materials, vacuum bagging supplies, and
sailplane kits called: SAM-I (2 meter), Merlin (100"), Magic (138"),
Terminator (Cross country 160" or 192" (!) span). Plans for each of
the kits are $35. ea. (price of plans applies towards kit price.)
Their prices on composite materials are often lower than ANY other
source I have located! (some are 40%-50% cheaper!) If you're into
gliders or composite construction, you've gotta' have this catalog.
Weston Aerodesign Orders:(301)757-5199

Some quotes from the catalog:
"Weston Areodesign Plan Service Subscription $89.95 Annual
subscription to Weston Aerodesign plan and pattern service. Any
plan or stock paper pattern mailed on request for one year. Plans
available for XC Terminator, Terminator, Magic, Merlin, SAM-I now.
Plans to come for Fun (polyhedral, composite trainer), Accipiter
(F3E), Nugget (handlaunch) this year. Great for clubs. Some
restrictions apply."
"MERLIN has an all up design weight of 36 oz, and a wing area of 650
sq inches which yeilds a very light wing loading of less than 8
oz/sq ft. MERLIN will be tested with the new WA001 airfoil, our own
creation. The WA001 is a 9% foil with a healthy amount of
underchamber. It is designed with a bubble ramp and should require
no trip for optimum performance. The 001 should yield good thermal
and floating performance and with a 2.5 degree reflex at 75% chord
it should approach the top end performance of a pure F3B foil such
as the RG15. Although MERLIN is light, the structure is intended to
withstand ballasting to 15 oz/sq ft and launching on the strongest
winch for Sportsman F3B competition. The high strength to weight
ratio is attained through use of SPECTRA and our style 1716
graphite/S-glass fabric."
"Terminator XC fully built $1095. The ultimate cross-country weapon.
Graphite reinforced high aspect ratio (29) wing. Predicted L/D of
36+, very fast. 16 foot wing span, must be shipped by truck. 160
in span interchangeable wings for strong lift days when ultimate
speed is required are sold separately. Completely built model only.
Fly one this spring. Astound and infuriate your competition."
"[...] with a top end speed capability that will get the chase car
tickets in all states except Nevada. Shipped by truck, or you can
come and get it and fly it home."

I used to use a shop vac to collect the dust but I found that I didn't

I persuaded Wally to get the little dust bag and he loves it.

repairing the boards and applying some ECOs.
Took a little while due to their surface mount machine being down but
the season's just starting...

| Jeff,
I have the Litco info at home. I can try and remember to bring it
in tomorrow. Unless, of course, someone has an RCM at work and can just
look it up.
