This note amplifies one of the missing features of notes.  There's
no guarantee that your reply is going in where you think it is.

If you and I are both replying to the same note, whoever hits "^Z" first
probably gets in first.

So, my entry "dentist" is intended to follow "filling" but probably
doesn't !

    wedding I decided we should observe some tradition from each of
    our ancestries.  My husband's ancestry is Polish and Italian; very
    easy since these traditions abound (at least in Chicago).  Mine
    were a bit trickier: Scottish, French and German.  My only living
    grandparent, who was responsible for the German directly and the
    French by marriage, had no recollection of any wedding traditions.
    On the Scottish side, we'd been so long in this country that my
    grandmother was a member of the DAR.  So I consulted a book on wedding
    traditions.  For Scotland, it said that the groom would go to Edinburgh
    and have a spoon made out of silver to present to his bride.  The
    spoon was called the wedding spune. (I have no idea if this is or
    was actually the case.  We could find no evidence of the French
    tradition they listed in either France or New Hampshire.   Eventually, 
    I gave up and we didn't observe any ethnic traditions.)

    be put an inexpensive eklectrolytic printer (those "fortunate" enough

    option" because of the roll of electrolytic paper, which appeared
