The water temp gauge in my '91 S-10 Blazer (4.3L) has stopped working.
Before I take it to the garage, any suggestions as to what I should look
for to isolate or fix the problem?
Loose wire or connector?
Is the temp sensor in the radiator or somewhere in the engine block?
Thanks,
Joe

The wire probably got corroded.
It just below and behind the A/C compressor. Single (probably GREEN) wire with a
white-yellowish plastic connector.

| I have an 89 Tempo, 125K. The gas gauge is all over the place. It
has been like this since I bought the car 1.5 yrs ago @98K. I had
to replace the fuel pump last year and I thought this might correct
the problem, but it didn't. Any ideas?
The gauge, occasionally, 25% of the time, is ok. The other 75% of the
time the gauge is off the scale over the full mark.

| been there,, seen that,,,
there is a small open top box that sits inside the gas tank. the fuel
sensor assy. sits inside this box, and its purpose is to keep a half tank
of gas from beating up on the sensor. chances are the box has come loose
from the tank and sloshing around and beating up on the sensor too.
this happenened to me on my suburban. sensor + tank $525. ouch it still hurts...
