A friend of mine just bought a 1979 MG Midget and is working on
restoring it. I am helping him with the project and so far we are in
great shape. The fuel pump / lines are the current problem.
On the inside of the car, there is a metal emblem screwed to the dash.
It says, "Rally Sport Limited Edition". What ecactly does that mean.
We have both tried to find out more information about it, but we can't
seem to.

| It could just be a cosmetic package - stripes, special paint colors,
wheels/tires, stuff like that. I doubt there are any mechanical differences
between that car and regular Midget of that year.

This was an emblem Installed by the factory, I believe the car has
slightly different rims and a special interior trim package.
Also maybe a set of exterior side stripes. Don't believe
there are any other "performance" mods. I'm mostly into A's and B's...
