    1990 U*drive transmission ...
    
    At first, I thought it was random and now I know it isn't!
    
    When going over bumpy road >40mph the tranny will go occasionally into
    limp-home mode (2nd gear).  This is the more random condition.
    
    BUT When slowing from >43 mph, through 43 mph (the magic speed of the
    limp-home maximum speed), providing there is a deliberate slowing of
    speed e.g. brakes on, or up a hill), the tranny will decide to go into
    limp home mode (2nd gear).
    
    The tranny appears to have been overfilled, and I'm correcting that
    now, but this does not appear to be a common problem ... anyone have
    any other ideas that might cause it ?
