Conference csc32::fxrs89::cycles

    Folks,
       Some good news for a change. FXRS89 has been moved out of it's
    DECNet "hidden-area". You should now be able to access the file without
    going through CSC32 so try using FXRS89::CYCLES. It will take a while
    for the change to propagate through the net so no big deal if it
    doesn't work right away.

    The old CYCLES notesfile, at
    
    MSBCS::DISK$SYSTEM2:[NOTES$LIBRARY]OLD_CYCLES.NOTE
    
    disappeared a while ago.  The system management folks on MSBCS and
    their operators have thoughtfully restored the file from a backup
    tape, and it is now available on MSBCS again.
    
    I have committed to finding a new home for it, since MSBCS is supposed
    to go away sometime, so I now have a new copy of the file on my
    cluster.
    
    You can now read OLD_CYCLES on:
    
    	DSSDEV::DISK$_ARCHIVE1:[NOTES$LIBRARY]OLD_CYCLES.NOTE
    
    and you should modify your notebook entry to point there in the near
    future because the file may well disappear from MSBCS again.
    
    I've set up this reply to do the 'keypad key 7' thing so that it will
    automatically update your notebook entry for OLD_CYCLES if you type
    'keypad key 7' now.  I hope.  Someone please tell me if it doesn't
    work since I've probably done this once before.
    
    Of course, OLD_CYCLES will remain write-locked - that's about the
    only kind of conference I have time to moderate!  ;^)
    
    Please send me mail (HERE::INGRAHAM) if you have any problems reading
    the OLD_CYCLES conference.  I am determind that as long as I am
    "HERE", the information and lore contained in OLD_CYCLES will not
    be lost.

    I hope this is the correct place for this question:
    
    	In a couple of weeks, I will be losing my VAXmail account.  We're
      	being moved to MSE and the Net.  I was told that the notesfile can
    	be accessed by the Net, but the person who told me didn't know how
    	to do it or where to look.  
    
    	Can someone point me in the right direction?

Much, much thanks for the info on getting in via the WEB!  There's been a lot
of change going on in my neck of the woods; some good, some less than good.
Funny, but of all the changes, their were only two that really got to me, 
and loss of access to this file was one of them.  Priorities I guess.... ;-)

Will have to work on the Teamlinks connection.  Tried it briefly, but not 
familiar with it.

    Getting in was O.K.  Entering a reply was O.K. , but reading notes has
gotten by me...Can someone tell me once I'm in how to read unseen notes?

    	I saw the smiley face, so I'm not sure if this applies, but you do
    know that once you're in Cycles you can go to Bookmarks - and click
    Add Bookmark ? Once added, you can click on that Bookmark and go directly 
    here.
