I plan to be in Paris for the first half of next week!!

(But I'm driving, to save the company some dosh, and the fact this takes me
over 2,500 miles on company business has nothing to do with it!)

    Howabout a get-together for February?
    
    I've got no plans to be out of the country next week, so I'll
    probably inflict my presence on you!!

Lots of snow last weekend; however its melting fast - 6 inches melted here in
1 day! Need to be skiing above 2000 metres to be safe, because the Foehn
(wind from the Mediterranean) is making things very warm - its well above
freezing.

Any chance of a lift there (from DEC Park) and back (to Reading station, or
any other station on the line to Ascot); I'm curious to see what CARS_UK noters
look like, but can't get there myself as the mini still isn't finished...

    The reason we said the Leather Bottle for tomorrow's meet, was that
    Mark Saxby 'phoned us yesterday to see what had happened to CARS_UK,
    and we agreed to meet him there. Maybe next time....

    Sorry, distance between Holland & Warrington is long!
    I'd rather be there, because I'd be visiting my Racing friend at
    Warrington, who drives a Westfield 7! A visit to Alton Parc (hope
    spelling is o.k.) would be nice again. I was guest marshalling 
    during a rally November 1988. Fun!

    Have you thought about Newbury yet ?

	JL here. I can't say as I'm that much of a Newbury expert, I
	only work here!.

	There are several good pubs in the vicinity but always off
	the main routes by a fair bit. I wonder how many people would
	want Newbury, I think it's out of most people's way (apart from
	Swindon to Solent commuters that is).

	How about the Old Bell, GG. Reasonably accessible, most people
	know where it is and there's a big garden for this mediterranean
	type weather?.

    Anybody fancy trying to revive the old CARS_UK get togethers?
    
    DP III (as described by JL in the last note) would seem a good
    location for Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke based noters, and also
    for homeward bound Reading domiciled Solenters.
    
    What about the 1st Tueday of October (which I make the 2nd) from about
    6.30?

	possible to Brands on Oct 14th for Derek's final race of
	the season (I assume it's the last).

	Mark Saxby says he's going, I reckon I can make it, any more?.

    No, it's not the last meeting this season, we're at Silverstone on
    20th, and Mallory on 28th October. The Brands meeting extends over 2
    days, I'm not sure yet when we're  'on', as soon as we've got full
    details, I'll try to remember to post them here. 

How about a S Wales get together. Derek's at Pembrey next weekend and all you
have to do is follow the M4 west. I'm going down there to see the 23 in action,
or is it in rotation.
