This is a wild chance and I don't know if you are from the
Nottinham area but by chance do you know a Dr. Tim Wright, or perhaps
his wife Debby both of Nottinham. I meet them on a trip last year to
Barbadous and you never know.

| Yet another odd chance in the Nottingham area.
A long time friend of my wife lives in the village of Bunny, just
outside of Nottingham and near Donnington. Her husband, Lance, is a
car nut. More specifically a Sunbeam Talbot nut. His current vehicle
is a 1954 Sunbeam Talbot Alpine. He is active in a couple of the UK
based Sunbeam clubs and has paritcipated in the big classic car tour
sponsored by one of the UK magazines.
He and his wife visited us in the States this past July and we managed
to pack in a lot of car oriented activites.
I anyone knows him or comes across a black Alpine, plate "xxx 90" (forget
the first letters but I think it's PNC), say hello for me.

which includes the following (highlights only):
10.30 Touring cars (Esso British Touring car)
11.50 Maxda MX-5
14.30 Historic F1
15.05 Replicar
15.40 F3
16.25 Touring cars
Anyone interested in meeting there? Is Derek racing the beast?

Derek races in the 750 MCs Group K championship. The Replicar
championship tends to be the preserve of big buck replicars (Lynxs,
GT40s, etc), but I don't think 23s are specifically excluded (correct
me if you know better).
I won't be going to Mallory but he's racing at Brands on 14th October
and I will be there to cheer him on!
