    I am not sure this is ther right place but I have a printer question.
    
    I have the Mac internet starter kit with Mac TCP in a Digital office.
    I am using it to run MS Works and making a LAT connection to a
    DECserver 900 and then connecting to my ALL-OR-None account.
    
    However LAT is being killed here on March 1st.
    
    I am looking for a telent package, FTP package, and a way to PRINT to
    the local LN14's and several other PC attached printers in my area.
    
    Any Ideas?

    Telnet and FTP are easy.  NCSA Telnet is an option, and Fetch or
    Anarchie are FTP options.  Look for either of these in MacOnLine:

    There are other telnet packages available if you don't like NCSA
    Telnet.

Don't discount normal AppleTalk printing.
Modern ethernet connected printers support AppleTalk on ether (EtherTalk).
If you're using TCP, you can probably also use EtherTalk.

    We hardly use LAT at all, because it requires an external
    (not hidden) DECnet node number to go any where. A TCP/IP
    number is much easier to get than an external DECnet number.

    Instead of Telnet, you could use MacTerminal that comes with
    Digital PATHWORKS. We use it extensively for terminal access
    to VAXen via TCP/IP.

    As for the LN14's, get your MS people to connect them to connect
    them directly to Ethernet, (they probably already are). And make
    sure the PeeCees are NOT set to capture the printer. A network
    utility like Netlook or InterPoll will let you look at all the
    AppleTalk printers in your zone. In order to be seen by a Mac
    the printer must be of type "LaserWriter".

    Can anyone point me to drivers for Canon printers?
    
    There seem to be very few printers available that come with Mac
    drivers. Epson makes some, but they are very/extremely hard to find.
    I think the plant must have busted or something.
