| Jeff,
Keep it as light as possible and you'll be happy with it. Make it
heavy, and you'll snap it when using too much elevator.

| Jeff,
I may be wrong but I think there was a letter published in either MA or RCM from
an older gentlman who had about given up on his Cap 21 as being too much for him
to handle. The bigest problem was snapping while trying to land. He ended up
turning the plane into a pussycat on landings by adding turbolators strips
to the top of the wing. Something to think about...

Being real helpful here, I know, but I have a feeling it was in MA in the front
letters column with in the last year.

1357.5 | reduction of snap roll tendency | KBOMFG::KNOERLE | | Wed Mar 25 1992 07:33 | 14 |

Jeff,
did you try those turbulator strips on top of the wings ? I'm curious
because my big CAP20 has the same tendency to snap roll on too low
speeds.
Annother suggestion when using ailerons that are just on the outer side
of the wing is : on landings mix a flap function UPWARD to the
ailerons. It helps quite a bit to reduce the snap roll tendency. But
still am I curious to try those turbulator strips....
