Otis is on Cape Cod. Take 495 south, go over the Bourne bridge and
south on Route 28. At the second rotary after the bridge, 3/4 of
the way around it you will find the entrance to the base. Go straight
in can't miss the place. It's thier annual air show.

headed north on 128, it's the exit after Rt. 2. If you're going
south, it's the exit after Rt. 4-225. Go west on 2A for about a
mile, the entrance to Hanscom is on the right.

10.2 | Directions to Nickerson Rd | LEDS::WATT | | Fri Sep 16 1988 11:40 | 10 |
| Dan,
The Nickerson rd facility is right off of Rt 20 near 495. You
take a left onto Ames St about a quarter of a mile west of 495 (going
west) and take a right onto Nickerson Rd. (I think it is the second
right after rt 20.) I am at 100 which is right on the corner.
Dec also has 600, 200, and now 500, which are just down the road
from here. Which one are you headed to?

>> So Bill - how about giving the rest of us detailed directions on how
>> to get there and where to park and where to catch a snack, etc.
O-Kay...
Easiest directions are to take Rt 495 north to Rt 28 south. Stay on Rt 28
all the way through the center of Andover and up a long hill. About at the
top of this hill it becomes a divided road with a grass median, which is
about where the Phillips Academy campus starts. Continue on Rt 28 through
a couple sets of lights and right where the grass median ends, take a left.
You'll see the cage immediately, a little ways in on your right.
Here are a couple decent places for lunch:
King's - pizza/subs - from the cage take a right onto Rt 28 (north).
Go thru two sets of lights. Go down to the bottom of the
hill, then to the first set of real traffic lights. Take
a right onto Chestnut st, then a left onto Bartlett. Half
a block up on your left.
Trader Rick's - sandwiches, burgers, soups, etc. Same directions as
King's except it's on the right in a small plaza across the
street from King's

OK Directions...
From West bound on RT 90 (MassPike) you take exit 5. Bare right
after the toll until you come to a traffic light. Take a left onto
Memorial drive. Stay on this road until you hit the rotary and then
take a right. This road leads to the Base main gate. Once on the
base you go straight past a number of buildings until the road bares
left. There will be three or four hangers close to the road.
The base store and gas station will be on your right. After these
there is a right turn that leads to the flight line. There should
be AMA signs.
East Bound on RT 90 (MassPike) take exit 5 and then follow above
directions.
West bound on RT 202 from Orange Ma. area you take rt 202 past Granby
Ma. until you almost come to Holyoke. Here you'll intersect RT 33.
This is Memorial drv. however it's the northern most part of the
drive and the base entrance is on he southern most part of the drive.
So you'll take a left onto RT 33 (memorial drv) and travel a good
5-6 miles until you hit the last rotary. There's an Arby's Beef
here. Go around the rotary and take a right onto the Base road.
If you go to far and see the entrance to the mass pike you;ll know
you've gone to far.
North bound or south bound on Rt91 take the Mass Pike at West
Springfield.Unless you know Holyoke it's your best bet. Granted
it's a little farther but much easier. Follow RT 90 (MassPike)
directions.
If you guys go when is it you'll be there? We have out club picnic
Sunday so Sat. was going to be a honeydo day. Maybe I can break
free in the afternoon. So much for planning on a late morning sleep
on Sat.

| Directions to the 495th RC Squadron meetings and auctions in Chelmsford.
From 495 going North.
Take the Route 4 South exit. Take a right at the end of the ramp.
Normally you would go to the left if you were taking the short cut
to Toms Hobby Korner.
Go into Chelmsford Center (approximately 1/8 mile) and on your right
there is a big white church. The meetings and auctions are in there.
Please - if somebody could give better directions I would be glad to
delete this note.
Bye --+--
