    The new Jordan has a snazzy new logo down each side of the nose section
    of a snakes head in yellow, complete with green eyes and scales.
    
    Same old optimistic outlook from Eddie on the forthcoming season.....

	Prost takes over Ligier now confirmed. The team will be 
	known as Prost GP, and run a Prost-Mugen-Honda car this 
	year and a Peugeot engined car next year.

	The new McLaren was officially launched yesterday and
	the predominant colour of the car is silver, with red 
	flashes.

	Anybody know just who will run on Bridgestone tyres?

	Arrows, Ligier, SGP, Minardi and Tyrrell have been 
	suggested.

	Lola car officially announced yesterday. They don't expect to
	get any good results until they have their own engine but
	feel that they will easily be able to qualify.

	Odd snippets -

	Schumachers sets Ferrari test track record of 59.4 sec whilst
	testing tyres. He also speaks well of tyres. Report didn't 
	say what sort of tyres they were.

	Prost hasn't ruled out the possibility of driving again, 
	maybe next year.

	Ralf Schumacher fastest at Silverstine test, ahead of Panis.
	The Lolas also there but 10 seconds off the pace. Times suggest
	lap time at Silverstone much reduced by circuit revisions.

	Benetton not happy with Alesi (Surprise, Surprise).

	There's a rumour about that Benetton are trying to get shot
	of Alesi by 'swapping' him for Fisichella.

	Lolas Formula One effort is over apparently. There will be
	no return this year.

	They'll continue in other formula.

	Apparently John Barnard has taken over the UK facilities
	that were used to design/build Ferraris as his own company.

	This will open the door to Barnard designing cars for other
	teams as an independant. Speculation has it that Arrows
	are a likely customer.

	CEEFAX says that Prost is off to see the Honda people 
	about replacing Nakano.

	I wonder who he would want to put in the car?. Probably
	they'd have to be French, Prost himself?. Of course 
	martin Brundle, consistently quicker than Panis when they
	were together in the team is available but somehow I
	don't see it.

    	My guess is it will be "our Damon". Three reasons...
    
    	1) He may be tempted away from the unsuccessful Arrows team.
    	2) Prost knows Damon from Williams days and knows his capabilities
    	3) Hill has already tried to remove Nakano from the Prost car :-)

    The name that comes always in Prost's mouth is Emmanuel Collard. Now
    that Prost is fully engaged with Peugeot he has nothing to lose in
    getting rid of Nakano.

    Collard has a "contract" with Tyrrell, for what it's worth. Given that
    Prost will be using Peugeot engines next year, my money is on Laurent
    Aiello, who is an excellent driver and is very much in Peugeot's good
    books.

	Apparently Benetton are interested in signing Schumacher (R)
	from Jordan.

And Benetton would get rid of Alesi or Berger?

    Morbidelli seems to be confirmed as replacing Larini at Sauber from
    Spain onwards.
