I just had a good experience with a metal stripping company, named
Advanced Stripping Technologies. They are located in Dracut, MA
on route 38 -- about 1 mile south of the Pelham, NH line.

They did a great job on a pickup load of parts, including some
parts that required blasting with baking soda. Turn-around is good
(1/2 day for me) and the price excellent. Very thorough work.
    (508) 459-7651 Ask for Ritchie.

Looking for correct body hardware (bolts, screws, etc) for your resto?
Try Discount Autobody Supply at 185 Main Street, Maynard.
    (508) 897-8351. Ask for Ron

He stocks all manner of hardware, including indented hex head bolts (in
black oxide and yellow chromate finish), captive washer bolts,
dog-point bolts, u-nuts, etc, etc. Why bother cleaning all your old
rusty, greasy hardware, when for pennies apiece you can replace with new?

Well, after 4 years doing the restoration my 67 Firebird is finally
coming back together. What I'm looking for is a place to have my
front and rear bumpers rechromed. They're both straight so no metalwork
is required, only stripping and plating. I want show chrome, or a grade
below, not the typical bumper chrome that Astro Bumper in R.I. does.
Anybody have some names and experience with platers in New England?
