| A large majority of the ads being placed in this conference via the Internet
are written on laptops. These laptops appear to be using temporary
addresses because when the moderators send the notes back for corrections
(inclusion of a VMS NODE::USERNAME entry), these returned notes are bouncing
because the destination doesn't exist.
If the moderators can't reach you, neither can the readership.
In addition, noters who access the conference via Netscape are prevented
from deleting their own notes. I have received complaints that noters are
being pestered because they can't delete a note for a popular item.
If you have lost your VMS account (OGO, for instance) I suggest you
investigate the possibility of starting an in-house bulletin board on the
corporate web page.
The corporate goal is to do away with VMS. This is a VMS based system,
open or not, and the Internet is causing all sorts of operational problems.
Perhaps someone can set up a web page for internal ads?????????????
