    Re-announce of this one, too.
    
    Feb 10 at the Hartford Civic Center, Whalers v. Blackhawks.  At
    least one team is pretty good :-).  It's a Sunday.
    
    Tix are $15 bucks.  Checks will be due to me within the next two
    weeks.  (Yes, I've double-checked the price.)  So far, we've got
    a grand total of 5 folks coming.  I'd love to see more of you there.

Well, a SPORTS Get Together took place last evening, when 
Dan Schneider was in Connecticut for work.

Dan and I got together in the early evening, had some dinner, swapped
a lot of DEC stories (and believe me, if you wanna hear some good
DEC stories, talk to Dan!), and then out for some TALC.

While not quite as fine as Dan'l's establishment, Dan and I attended
Uncle Al's.

The evening was off to a great start when we ordered beer.  The waitress,
who was really cute, but had that blank "I did too much LSD as a kid" 
look, couldn't bring our beers right away because "she didn't have
enough money".  Dan and I looked at each other, and Dan asked me
if the concept of buying beer had changed -- after all, weren't we
supposed to give HER money in exchange for beer?

From that point on the evening progressed exponentially.  One of the,
uh, entertainers, was really hilarious.  She had this giddy laugh/giggle
and by the end of the evening, just hearing that giggle would set Dan
and I off in fits of laughter.  

Between watching the ladies, and the other patrons who came in (one
of who was the spitting image of Tariq Asiz/Larry Tate) it was
a rip roaring hilarious evening.

I'd tell more here, but Dan and I need to save some stories for 
the Manis(tm).....

But, I can say "Bo knows"....right Dan?

When's the big Charlotte All Star Weekend bash going to be held that was
hinted at in the previous version of the notesfile?   I remember someone
mentioning a possible get together for those of us who aren't in the 
East Coast CJ Corridor.

    Hey, I'm up for anything.  The cheaper the thrills, the better.  We'll

	I got a call from JoJ last night.  He's in Boston until Friday
and wants to join this shindig Thursday night.  I'm meeting him in
Maynard around 5:30 Thursday afternoon.  He doesn't have access to
a DTN or terminal so I'll be talking to him Wednesday night.  He's
looking for someone to join him at the Banana either tonight or
Wednesday night.  I can't make it, but he's staying at the Weston in Copley 
Square if someone wants to go to the "Marina" with him...

    Where are you coming from.....Its not that hard a place to find, if
    you go by Digital headquaters (the mill) and the mill is on your left
    your going to go by a Gas station on your right and its the 2nd
    building after the gas station on your right....Dont park out back your
    better off parking out front.  If your coming in the other way (from
    stow) as you approach Digital youll have there parking lot on your
    right and the BUll is on your left as you approach the entrance to the
    mill.....Its a great little establishment and thursday night is usally
    pretty packed...I myself prefer to go on monday's, less people and
    after the pool league finishes shooting its open table and you can play
    for free untill closing....

    OK, so none of you live in New York City (or else kept quiet about it
    when I told you I'd be there).  I had a great time anyway.  The DEC
    office there is right next to the Gahdahn.
    
    Tuesday night I saw the Knicks and the Hawks.  Walked right in and got
    a seat on the floor.  That was so strange after living in Charlotte
    where tickets are hard to comeby.  M.C. Hammer was sitting so close to
    me I could have spit on him...but he had these big ol' body guards so I
    didn't.  Ewing and 'Nique had some great dunks right in front of me.
    
    Wednesday night I took in Syracuse and St. Johns.  Great game.  Much
    better crowd...and many cuter womens.
    
    The Gahdahn calls itself the world's most famouse sports arena.  What a
    joke.  It doesn't even have reply screens.  Just these signs on the
    scoreboard that say "coming next season: Gardenvision."  What about
    this season?

    Well, Riggen must still be in shock, so it's up to me to tell you about
    the most excellent get together(s) of the past week...starting with a
    most manly story:
    
    I flew into Denver last Saturday. Rented a truly rugged Pontiac Grand
    Am, and drove to Colorado Springs. I called Riggen, and we made plans
    to go skiing the nexted day at Breckenridge. 
    
    The day started out just fine...I picked up Jeff at 6:30 JoJ_Time
    (which is 6:40 for everyone else) and we headed up Route 24 towards 
    the mountains. Our first stop was at Hills Mountain Shadows Inn, where
    we each had a 14" diameter pancake. (Tangent: Hills is a most excellent
    little restauraunch where you eat one very large pancake and wash it
    down with OJ from a plastic cup that still tastes and smells of whiskey
    from the previous night's bar crowd....end_Tangent)
    
    After wolfing down at least 75% of this steering wheel sized pancake,
    we were on the road again heading toward Summit County. The snow
    started falling just as we crossed Hoosier Pass. It snowed all day,
    which is great for skiing, but not so good for driving. 
    
    The fun started on the drive home, and I knew it was gonna be a heck of
    a good week. We were driving through South Park on route 9 just about 
    10 miles outside of Fairplay when this woman in a van decided that she
    should hit her brakes. Why? Who knows...there wasn't anything in front
    of her that would have required her to do that. Naturally, the road was
    icy and snow covered, so she spun around a few times and went off the
    road into a ditch. The Subaru behind her did the same....then came me
    in my awesome Grand Am. I decided to be different and spun off the
    other side of the road into my own ditch.  
    
    Jeff immediately leaped from the car, leaving me inside to die. But, I
    didn't. I backed the car all the way down off the incline and onto the
    edge of the grazing pasture....it was then I recognized one of Jeff's
    old girlfriends in the pasture and realized he didn't mean to abandon
    me, he was just excited. 
    
    I tried to drive out of the ditch but couldn't quite make it. Then it
    happened...the ultimate yuppie vehicle, a Range Rover, pulled up and
    offered to help. The driver was wearing dockers, Reeboks, and a mauve
    ski hat. He said "I think I have a winch, but I'm not sure how to use
    it"...and he pointed to the little hook coming out of the front end.
    
    That was it...I took a deep breath, straightened my cup, spat on the
    ground, growled, got back in the car and got that sucker moving. I
    drove along the pasture for 30 yards or so and then angled up the
    incline right towards Riggen and the Rover. I baja'd that Grand Am
    right up and outta that ditch back onto the road. I didn't need no
    stinkin Range Rover.
    
    That was the start of a great week in Colorado Springs which ended with
    yet another trip to Breckenridge to ski with none other than "Dan
    Moguls Schneider".

    On a more serious slant, I hope that no one in Sports was affected by
    that plane crash this weekend.  The last I heard, 25 were killed as a
    plane from Denver was approaching The Springs airport, suddenly banked
    and then dove to the ground.

    I also was wondering about the plane crash. That flight from Denver to
    CS is one bumpy flight. Alot of turbulance along the front range. 
    
    I know someone returning to the Springs on Sunday. I think it was a

    I hope so, too, Jim.  When I went to CS, I was advised to fly to Denver
    and then rent a car for the ride down.
    
    I don't know if I was told that so I could enjoy the view, or because

    A DEC employee from Ireland was on the plane from what I understand.
    He used to play in our soccer league on the Wild Geese for a couple
    of years.  I don't recall his name, maybe Tom Hill still has the mail,
    but they plan to have a moment of silence for him before the league
    games tonight and tomorrow night.  I believe he left behind a wife and
    2 kids...

I'm game. the courts are in good shape and getting plenty of use so if we have
alot of guys we may have to move to a different set of courts if we want to own
the hoops. If we only have a few folks then we can just blend in with whomever
is there. I'll see if I can find gold pants, I haven't seen him around in a
while.

I'll have to check to see which weekend the wife is off so I can throw her
and the kids out of the house...;^)

JoJ and I had a small noters get together last weekend. Jim arrived 
fashionably late as usual, He couldn't decide which ski hat to wear. We 
headed to the hills for a day of skiing. 
We stopped at Hill's Diner in Lake George for a carbo loading breakfast.
Blueberry Pancake, It takes a snow shovel to flip one of these syrup 
suckers. The waitress is definitly a 10K type person, 10K=born and raised 
above 10,000'. The bill was $8.00, that's for 3 people and Coffee. 
From this point is was off to Breckenridge for a Day of Mogul Shredding, 
beer drinking and snow bunny viewing. 
After skiing all day and feeling quite manly we headed for a local Yuppy 
establishment for a round of drinks and watched Arizona extend their 
winning streak at home. Of course this is Colorado so it did snow all day 
long. On the way home we were cruising across the momst desolate section of 
the trip home "South Park" when the Dodge Caravan begins to spin, the 
Subaru then heads in as spin. JoJ didn't have his Rusty Wallace hat this he 
claimed would have allowed him to shoot the gap between the vehicles and 
take the checker under the "yellow". JoJ lost control and began to spin off 
the road. I got out quicker than James Worthy got out of a Dallas Hotel. After
a quick examination we determined that a easy drive through the ditch would get 
us enough momentum to get out, WRONG. It was a snowing and blowing when out of 
the north a ULTIMATE yuppie Vehical appeared before our eyes, a RANGE ROVER. 
Biff jumped out and offered his help as soon as he figured out how to work the 
wench that came with the vehical.  
JoJ could not handle being pulled out by a true yuppie in his Dockers ski suit 
so he hopped into the Grand Am and powered that sucker right back on the road. 
Quite a manly accomplishment even for JoJ.

I have directions to Dillon Stadium, Hartford, CT.  What I don't have
is ticket info or game time.  As soon as I find out I'll make this

All I can tell you at this point is that the Wanderers said to NERFU,
"If you want us to go to Newport for the NE Tourney, we'll blow off
 hosting Scotland-USA."  NERFU seemed very willing to negotiate after
that.

My guess is that NE will be in Hartford, since I know that Scotland
is still on.

I too received a Cricket Card from JD.  It's the 1989 Aussie vs England
Ashes Competition.

The card is neat, it even has a spot for an autograph ;^)

It's sponsored by Stimorol - The Sportsman's Gum.  Personally, to 
me Stimorol sounds like something you'd inject into a horse!

Finally, I think we should all have a Get Together for a Cricket
game sometime.  I'm sure we could find one in the Boston area, 
and you know it would keep us amused for hours.....;^)

    thing is, I got rid of al my old baseball cards just before they became

Although most people peg me at about 35 years old I was born in 1945,
and am what is euphemistically known as `an old pharte'.

I started buying baseball bubble gum cards at the tender age of four (in
1949).... mostly to get the bubble gum, but nevertheless, when I went
off in 1963 to fight for god, country, and my baby, I had filled up
several shoe boxes with baseball heros from 1949 thru 1963.

They are gone.

My mother claims she did not throw them away.

But I know that woman.... and she threw them away.

I hate when that happens. And I try to think about what those things
would be worth today as seldom as possible.

I never threw them away, for some reason.  I'm kind of sentimental,

    It is getting to be a farce, but more with the newer ones than the
    older ones.  Especially error cards.  And I can't be convinced a

I went to the Gold Club last fall... first time ever in one of those places.
Art deco, very brightly lit, certified prime A1 babes wearing nothing but a
smile.  Too much reality for my blood... I prefer surreptitious ogling of
young gals on the beach to having blond models dancing nekkid right before
my eyes.   What's most troubling is watching all the middle-aged guys sitting
there unabashedly leering at the girls nether regions, dried spittle forming 
at the sides of their mouths, their wanton lust pushing aside the image of
their frumpy, sagging, 40-plus, size 18 wives from their brains.   And this
was supposedly the best place...

    We've been having problems here.  My correct node is FSOA.  If that's

    Based on the majority preference, I will post the chosen date and give

    envelope.

    I did go back and check my previous reply and I did post the July 6 and
    7 games incorrectly.  I was thinking 105 and typed 735.  Oh, well.
    
    I've heard from about 6 people.  Right now, sentiment is running far in
    favor of October so unless we have a flood of requests for July, that's
    what it will probably be.  To let you know how I feel about it, it will
    more than likely be the Wednesday or Thursday in October.  Not only is
    Tuesday, October 1 my bowling night, but it's also my mom's birthday
    (she doesn't like baseball or I'd bring her to the game).  It's also

    Dave McNeil (old Sportsnoter from '90) and myself came by a couple
    of bleacher tix for the game. I know most of you are planning to meet
    at the Rat in the early AM. We aim to try to be there to hoist a couple
    wif you guys(cuz we heard the brews were on Hawk). If we cain't get
    there a couple of questions:
    
    1. What section,row(s), etc are you all sitting in? (I don't have the
       tix so I'm not sure where we are sitting)
    
    2. Where are you planning to party (if able) post-victory?

    	Actually my brother's name is Timothy. You wouldn't believe
    the crap he took (and occasionally still takes). As far as Dr. Tim,
    he was disowned by us rather straight-laced Learys. We knew that

    Right now, with the mail messages I've been getting for TigerMania (I
    sent mail to everyone on SPORTS.DIS who hadn't otherwise replied), the
    October series has a big lead over the July series.  It's looking more
    and more like the game we go to will be either October 2 or October 3. 
    I can't go on October 1 since that's both my bowling night and my
    mother's birthday (I'd consider skipping bowling and bringing her to
    the game except that she doesn't really like baseball and she's never
    seen me attack a beachball before and may die of the shock) so that's
    where we stand.  Sorry, Metz, but you were the only one who can't go in
    October at all.
    
    I'm not particularly surprised since the 4th of July weekend is tough

    Also, I'm going to be on vacation nexted week, so I won't be around to

    I'll be going to the game with my wife, and we're in section 12, but

    175 lbs, dark, slicked-back hair and a beard. I'll probably be wearing

    shoes and a Beemer hat - that's Lufay.  If nexted to him you see a
    short guy, with short hair, that looks like a Marine - that's Chainsaw.
    If nexted to him you see a rude guy with a beer in each hand - that's
    Needle.  Caint miss these guys.  You'll want to turn around and leave -
    especially if with the wife.  And if all else fails - just walk in and

    You're thinking of Don Montgomery, who is no longer active in this
    conference but co-moderates the RED_SOX conference.  Monty works
    upstairs from me, is married and has a 9-month old daughter, is now our

playing hoops again six weeks ago}.   Just turned 30 last week and will most
likely be totally bald by 35.

    What's with these Patriots' Day games that inspires all this trouble?
    For the second straight year I gave my tickets to the game away and for
    the second straight year the guy who went tells me there were all sorts
    of ejections from the rightfield bleachers.  That just doesn't happen
    at any other afternoon games during the season.  There's always some
    rowdiness out there, but the full police squad intervention is usually
    reserved for big night games and the post-season.  Got to be the
    designated Mass party day of the year or something...
    
    FWIW, I went on a chartered bus trip to Yankee Stadium for their home
    opener yesterday and the place was very well behaved, contrary to
    reports I'd heard.  Then again, I don't think there were too many more
    than 20,000 people there because of the rain, in spite of the 
    announced paid attendance (50,891).  The only incident was when some 
    nut ran around on the field in the middle of the eighth inning.  A 
    guard finally flagged him down with a beautiful shoestring tackle that
    sent them both sliding through the slop, and shortly thereafter an 
    ambulance was seen leaving the area behind the bullpens.  Ya never 
    know...  
    
    Yankee Stadium is in great shape for its age.  I knew it underwent the
    massive renovations in the mid-70's, but I didn't think it would look
    practically brand new.  Good game, had a great time there...

    It should be, it's only 15 years old.  The renovation started at the
    ground up.  It took two complete seasons while the Yanks played in
    {shudder} Shea Stadium.  Almost everything is/was new.  If they could
    only change the neighborhood...
    
    As for the Fenway bleachers, I did see the STAFF jackets go in and grab
    people, but within my view the worst incident I saw was people good
    naturedly throwing a crushed cup at the dingbat with the cam corder,
    and this in a game that went 13 innings and encouraged attention to

    We all dutifully file into what we think are our seats -- this is row
    13, right?  Then someone goes and gets someone who knows, and we all do
    the Digital Wave, as the entire row stands and moves down one row,
    displacing the row in front of them....

    We shoulda stayed put.  Mikey and Minnie and Goofy were giving away a
    free trip to Disney World (for 4) and someone in row 14 got it.  It's
    all Hawks' fault.
    
    The cops come and cheerfully escort about three rows of folks from the
    last rows of our section out of the park.  (So *that's* how Bob Euchre
    gets his front row seats.)  Later in the game, on the opposite side of
    the bleachers, they physically pick up and carry someone out.  Never
    seed anything like that before -- and I worked a season at Wrigley!
    
    Somewhere in there I think a baseball game was played, but it
    definitely got in the way of the good time in the stands.  Dan, sorry
    about the beer -- but ya gots to expect that kinda thing when you're
    blocking the route to the aisle :-)

 Talked to JoJ aka BoB earlier this afternoon, he'll be heading to
 Merrimack on june 2nd (sunday). So if we want to get together for
 an all dayer on this day he'll leave early on sunday and meet us
 in worcester where we can play both softball and hoops depending
 upon the turnout. If the turnout isn't atleast 0.01% of the size
 of the Jets distribution list then sunday will be off and he'll 
 just stop down some night for hoops...

    Well a semi get together was held lasted night by 3 of the Seattle
    Sports Noters Society (SSNS)  The Metz', the Crouch's, and myself
    attended the Merry Marinators vs. Twiumphant Twins matchup in God's own
    indoor arena - the Kingdome.
    
    The Marinators won a thrilling, come from behind, 11 inning snooze fest
    4-3.   Ah, but the real thrill was the excitement this part brings to
    football.
    
    First off, they have a TarHell(TM) colored outfield wall.  And it gets
    worse.  THe mascot is a Moose wearing carpet remnents for shorts.  But
    the 200 level, where we sat, has TV's hanging from the ceiliing - so
    you can watch the game on TV if you tire of watching it live.  Only
    drawback to the TV's is that they carry the Marinator games.  I
    commented that the Marinators could sell out if they showed *other*
    teams' games on the TV's.  
    
    And they do have interesting in between inning snippets on the TV.  Why
    one inning, they showed the "So-Crates" bit from Bill and Ted's
    Excellent Adventure.  Another inning they showed the "Win one for the
    Gipper" seen from Knute Rockne Story.  Other innings they had baseball
    highlights.   
    
    And of course the popular "Bust that Needle" picturegraph (I'll let you
    guys Jeff  that one..)
    
    The female part of the party really seemed to enjoy themselves - they
    didn't watch the game.
    
    The kingdome sure gives you lots and lots of room to relax while
    watching the game.  Helps that there were ~`10,000 fans there (and it
    seats about 50,000.
    
    Overall a nice dress rehearsal for Marinator/SOX_a_mania - coming to a
    Kingdome near you this SUMMER!!

The kingdome is quite the depressing place to see a baseball game. I've never 
been to the bathroom at a game before and walked right in and not have to stand
in a puddle to go.

The wives were begging to be able to leave by the 10th inning. I thought I was
gonna have to hold JD back from going onto the field to berate the 3rd base 
coach after he held a runner from 2nd on a single to right with the game tied 
in the bottom of the 8th.

Jay Buhner will k 300 times and hit 70 hr's if he stays on his current streak.
Pete Crouch's idol is Jay Buhner.....

   I went to a Bar that was just like the old SNL `Hambuga, Cheesebuga'
   place.

   It was a Birthday party get-together at Bud's Bar in Sedalia Colorado.
   A regular Cowboy bar. Lotta cowboy hats, baseball hats with Feed Lot
   decals, etc. All kinds of pictures on the wall of cowboys, statues of
   Western art here and there, Dead animal haids on the walls. Juke box,
   dance floor, cheap drinks, noisy..... in other words... practically
   heaven.

   For food, they have hamburgers, and cheeseburgers. Period. No hotdogs,
   chilidogs, pizza, frenchfries, desserts, grilled cheese, nothin. Just
   Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers. And they are really excellent Burgers. To
   put on the hamburgers and cheeseburgers, there is thin sliced sweet
   onion, thin sliced dill pickles, Catsup, Mustard, Salt, and Pepper.
   Period. Nothing else.

               On the wall behind the bar is a sign. It says:

                          This isn't Burger King.

                    or you don't get the son-of-a-bitch!

    ticket holders to buy tickets for all the pre season games as part of
    the package. That means no tix for the rest of us.
    
    We probably can still get tix outside the stadium from scalpers at face
    value. Who would pay a premium for a pre season game.

Well, we could have the firsted annual RugbyManis on the 24th.

That's the date of the Monmouth tournament, in Monmouth NJ, which I believe
is only about 45-60 minutes farther south than the Meadowlands.

There's plenty of beer, lots of hardnosed, annihilating contact rugby, 
and it'd be the perfect party atmosphere.  Besides, the women at the 
tournaments are always better than the ones I've see at Giant Stadium
parking lot....


We could also keep an eye on ads in the paper for season ticket holders
who are wanting to sell their preseason tickets....

Could we shift the Manis to Foxboro?  No problem getting tickets there....
(I'm assuming they play the Patsies in preseason?)

    I was there because they told me it was a drink-up after some new
    game they invented where they take pig bladder, and guys ran around
    beating the crap out of each other.  Sounded good, until they told
    me I had to gird my ears with some kind of papyrus wrap.  I thought
    the washing of the feet with the hair was kinda titilatingly kinky,
    but I drew the line on these guys eying what they called my prop butt.
    
    It gets kinda fuzzy after that, but one of the guys, I think he was the
    captain of the team or something, said "Let's go outside."  He went
    behind a rock to puke, while the rest of us just kinda passed out until
    the cops raided the joint and started taking names.  Being underage,
    I naturally split and left town for the weekend.  Rumor has it that
    one of our guys was a stool pidgeon for the Feds, as he was seen
    rapping with them afterwards and taking what looked like a cash
    payment.
    
    I don't know whatever happened to the captain and his buddies, but the
    game they invented is still being played today in almost its original

    The votes are in.  TigerMania for 1991 will be on Thursday night,
    October 3.  It is the lasted game against the Tigers so if it gets
    rained out ticket holders will be able to either exchange them for a
    game with the Brewers (the lasted 3 home games of 1991 on October 4, 5
    and 6) or wait until nexted year.
    
    There are 30 potential tickets for this game, 29 for October 1 and 28
    for October 2.  None of the July games was going to be more than 23.
    
    For anyone who is interested in attending please do the following:
    
    1.  Write out a check payable to me @$6/ticket.  In other words, if you
    want 1 ticket, you owe me $6; 2 tickets, $12 and so forth.
    
    2.  Mail it and a stamped self addressed envelope to me at 518 Wilson

    A mini-noters gathering was held lasted night at the Braves game, where 
    Bob "Ketchup" Hunt, JD, and yours truly rooted the home team on to
    victory.
    
    I could hardly contain my glee when JD showed wearing 'The Shirt' that
    he won from me, thanks to an impressive pro-Carolina note he entered 
    during 'The Contest'.  Rumors of its demise were grossly exaggerated.  
    It looked in fine shape and hardly worn.  (The shirt is bright red with
    'IU' on the front and some unmentionables printed on the back.  Around
    the sixth inning some drunkin fan stumbled up the isle, looked at JD
    and 'The Shirt', and said 'YOU LOOK JUST LIKE LARRY BIRD!'.  I'm not
    making this up ...)
    
    What impressed me the most about 'Bob' and 'John' though was how much
    they admitted to me (off the record, of course) their respect and
    admiration for Carolina basketball.  Why, I brought a 'Carolina Blue' 
    with me to the game and they could hardly keep their grubby hands of
    it, reading all about Dean and our seniors.  Bob even brought a little
    Carolina 'gift' for me prior to the game!
    
    Nice guys they are, and not nearly as anti-Dean as they'd have ya

 Take 290 West to route 70 Shewsbury/Worcester exit. Bear right off the exit.
 After crossing over the lake take the second left just before the Marine
 Corp Base and before the meridan in the road starts. Road twists around
 behind the fallon clinic at the end of the road take another left on to
 Lake Ave. Go straight through the set of lights that intersect route 9
 after a mile and half or so you'll come upon a Skating Arena on your right
 and a football field on your left. Take the first right after the Skating
 Arena this is Hamilton St. Take your second left off of Hamilton St. This 
 is Boston Ave. At the top of Boston Ave take a right I'm the third house
 down on your left the Blue one.

	Take 290 East to the Grafton St. Posner sq. exit. Bear right off the
exit you're now on Grafton St. Follow straight up make a half moon around

 From Grafton take rt122 into worcester. At the South Plaza shopping center
 (building 19, Stuarts, etc) take a right at the Burger King follow the
 twisting turning road and take your third right after the S-bend this is

 Anyone using the mass pike take the Pike to exit 11 Worcester/Milbury exit.
 at the end of the exit take a left and follow the above direction for the
 folks from Grafton...

    I'm looking forward to this...btw, Dinz has formally challenged me to
    a 1-on-1 game. 
    
    Now, I've already explained to him that I have a sore right ankle, a bruised
    left knee, and a broken thumb on my left hand. Since I'm injury riddled
    at the moment, I can't guarantee a 5 hoop victory in a game to 15. But,
    if we play to 21, injuries and all, I'll beat him by at least 5.
    
    He's lucky I'm injured or I'd shut him out.

    Wardle_Blade and I will be crashing Hawk's fern bar after work on
    Monday if anyone wants to join us.  Hawk promised he'd replace the

    I probably won't make it Sunday, Mike.  I was serious about tonight,
    though.  As 'Saw said, I'll be in Fairfield, CT all day Saturday for a

    Wish I could join you guys!  Everyone knows that Iceman is the only
    noter that is better than me at hoops ;-)

 Well guys I found out what happened Dan payed my kids off yesterday to
 take me out of the room!!!!!

 They showed me the beaten up nickle that he had given them and told them
 to split.

 background: Hoops was fun full court some great play, some laughers, the
 usually. Doc did have one spectacular up and under scoop for a hoop (send
 check to my house Doc. What was it a week's pay ;^)?) The Buckmiester was
 hot outside, JoJ had on Don's favorite colors and Dinz was still blowing
 open layups anyways I lug the mugs back to my house for chow. Being the
 good host I'm cooking and tied up and not watching the game. Dan's holding
 center court in my living room about his beloved Lakers (Dinz's was vaining
 and rooting for the lakers) crying about the calls whilst the Lakers are
 going to line double what Chi-town was.

 4th quarter starts I finally sit down to watch the Bulls wipe out the lead
 take the lead etc. Fully convinced now that the Karma between me and Dan
 has sent the vibes to Michael and the boys I'm poised for a Bulls win. Under
 a minute left and suddenly my kids whom I've been trying to feed for the
 last hour or so are mysteriously hungry now. I get their food together
 whilst Perkins hit the three to win it....

 After the guys left I start to blast the kids from distracting me during 
 the game when they produced the evidence, THE NICKLE!!! and told me the
 details....

Sorry I couldn't make it guys.  Saturday turned out to be hotter, longer,
and more taxing than I'd planned on, plus some things came up that had to

give them that sly Dan Schneider "We're all in this together" wink ....

Don't worry Mac....

Hey, it's very rare that I no-show.  Mike Childs will tell you that most
times if I'm not gonna go to one of his get togethers I tell him, or I just
don't respond.

And being short is what being a hooker is all about.  Tony Flay, the
Eagles hooker ain't all that big.  Plus his ears stick way out (that's a
minus for a hooker).  Kev, I'll bet your ears don't stick out all that
much!

Bobbie Bates couldn't have played yesterday.  He's got a cast from finger
tips to just below his armpit.  NASTY break -- I saw the X-Rays.  They
had to knock him out to set it...

We were bustin' on him though, because he's a State Trooper, and now he
has to a) use a left handed holster at the desk job he's gonna have till
he heals, b) find a way to drink coffee, eat donuts and drive at the same
time 8^)

FWIW, he WAS playing that game with two busted ribs though....


And Kev, when all about you is Gonad City, that's the time for a good ol
Head Butt!

On the weekend of July 13th, JD will be back in these here parts.

So, here it is:


	Party for JD at Saw's House.


If we have enough people we can play some football.  There'll probably be
a couple of ruggers there too, so if anyone is man enough after football,
we'll teach you how to play 7s (right Mac?)

The deal is this:

	o Bring your own Burgers and/or Dogs (or steak for all I care)
	
	o Bring yourselves

	o Bring any yuppie beers you want

I supply:

	o The grill

	o A couple of cases of manly American beers (READ THAT Miller, Bud)

	o Condiments (Ketchup, Relish, Mustard etc etc etc etc)

	o Other bullshit as needed for the cookout.


I'll pick up the dog poop outta the yard and we can have some fun.

(Sorry, but the back pasture is for hay this summer.  No cows grazin 8^(  )

    Lemme 'splain...
    
    In the beginning, twas true they had a great advantage - sort of like
    giant redwood trees with giant branches reaching out towards the
    sunlight, effectively blocking out the tiny sapling.
    
    Then a chipmunk started hammering away at a "knot" in the trunk
    thereby causing the giant branches to drop lower and lower as they
    tried to protect the "knot" from further damage by the pest.  This
    also caused the giant redwood to "stoop" down and allow sunlight to
    fall upon the tiny sapling and neutralized the physical difference!
    
    And so it later became a Spud vs. Tiny match or, "The Battle Of the

    I put a batch of powdered 'shrooms into the Dr.'s water.  The solution
    was chemically altered to have a delayed effect on the brain for
    precisely 18 hours.  What we are all seeing is that he "thinks he

	I saw Doc in the cafeteria and the way he was talking he played 
Michael Jordan and the rest of you were cast in a Washington Generals type 
role.  Not that I don't believe the Doctor mind you but could someone in 
here verify that Doc did indeed dominate the game Russell style?  And he 
didn't pay for those Reebok pumps either.  He claims that Reebok wanted to 
test the "upward" bounds of their sneaker, but personally I think they want 
to see how much ground scraping they can take.  And the cheap b*st*rd won't 
even get a pair for me!  He told me to cut my toes off and he'll give me 
his leftovers!

	And nobody mentioned those two young studs who made the rest of you 
look your age.  They didn't even break sweat and the rest of you ath-a-letes
had your tongues hanging down to the ground looking like a panting pooch on 
a hot August day.  Schneider was so frustrated he refused to go back in the 
game, then claimed afterward that when he was in there he held those two in 
check.  HAHAHAHA�  The best action I saw all day was on that semi-X rated 
Spice network at Mikes house afterwards.

    If you're here on the 21st, the Boston Shootout begins that
    day.  See some of the best High School bb players in the country
    compete.  Lasted year, James Forrest and Juwan Howard, two of the
    top 5 players in the country this year, played in the tourney as
    juniors.  They should be back.  Four games Firday, four Saturday,
    and three SUnday, including the slam dunk and 3-point contests.

    I got there late after my softball double dip, and Doc predictably
    high-tailed it outa there when he saw me approaching the court.  He did
    hang around long enough for me to see him launch one of the
    god-awfulest jump shots in modern hoops history.  About 14 feet out,
    wide open (and I noticed they always left him wide open, in sort of a
    "Let Greg Kite shoot" defense) he bricked one off of the right side of
    the backboard about 2 feet from the rim.

    NBA Finals action is always on at my place.  Even during the off nights
    of this years finals, I pop in my tapes of the '85 and '87 finals just
    for laughs.

    The Collegiate Interterritorial Tournament (ITT) is being held at Daly
    Field in Brighton, MA on June 15&16.  This tournament will feature all
    star teams for each of the 4 US Rugby Territories.  The following
    weekend (June 21), the US Collegiates will take on the Canda Under-23s
    at the same location.
    
    I'm planning on going to at least the ITT since a friend of mine from
    Austin will be playing for the Western Territory.

Bob, if you were serious about the rugby, there is a 7s match on
Saturday, June 15th, at Columbus Park, South Boston from 9am -6pm.

I don't know the format of the tournament, but Guiness is sponsoring it,
and I believe that a 7s team from Hartford might be going up.

7s is a faster paced version of rugby played with 7 men, in two 7 minute
halves with a one minute halftime.  It's fun to play and watch...

I can't give directions because I don't know them, but I'm sure some
of the Boston-ites could help you out....

Might be something to check out before going to Fenway 8^)

 Christopher's in Haverhill in a real nice place.   Highly recommended. 
 The seafood was excellent but the "service" was a little slow.  Plus the
 bartender gives you that classic "Better not be wastin' my precious time
 with a candy ass little tip!" stare whenever you politely ask him just to
 refill your glass.  :-) :-) :-)
 
 Dan and I swapped stories about growing up on the Jersey Shore, the
 Yankees, the Phillies, the Celtics, the Sixers, the Lakers, road trips,
 Dr. J, the Nets, Michael Jordan, SPORTS get-togethers, the Hornets, T,
 college days, Knorr's ticket contest, the Red Sox, Magic Johnson, hoops,
 minor league baseball, and, oh yes, Dean Smith.
 
 And, yes, Hawk and Dan now have an even finer appreciation of the "assets"
 of the Paper Doll Lounge in Charlotte.
 
 For the record, Dan insists that his motives are pure when it comes to
 defending Snuffy and that he's just an innocent bystander in all this
 North Carolina hoohaa here in SPORTS.   I immediately reached for my
 wallet to make sure it was still firmly wedged in my back pocket.  :-)
 
 Dan and I also agreed that the Hornets should take Larry Johnson and
 should leave Billy Owens for the Nets because Dan wants to see Derrick
 Coleman and Billy Owens reunited and I want to see JR Reid with a plane
 ticket outta town.
 
 A nice night out with two "old and new" friends ...   That's the true
 beauty of SPORTS ... You can meet an "old" friend for the very first time.

    Well, my access to CAM:: is so slow, I'm gonna avoid reading the last
    100 or so replies....
    
    My trip last week got a most excellent start. Worcester blacktop hoops
    and another excelllent BBQ at the Childs' house. (Thanks Mike, really
    had a good time). 
    
    The Hoops match between me and Dinz never materialized. Too many guys
    waiting to play so we couldn't hog a hoop for a 1-on-1. Dinz ended up
    covering me in the game and so I had an easy time of it. Doc "NoShow"
    showed up and pretty much embarassed the guy that was trying to cover
    him. He threw up this "Jordan-esque" scoop shot that just kind of spun
    into the hoop.
    
    He and I were on the same team, and whenever I pulled in a rebound I
    found Doc breaking for the fast break. We had no trouble running the
    opposition ragged.
    
    Me and Bucky played Mike and Dinz later and went up 2 games to 1 in our
    on-going match.
    
    Later, we hit Mike's for some burgers. The only downside was Dan
    doing his Laker-Girl imitation after Jordan missed the last shot and
    the Lakers won what will probably be their only win.
    
    Monday I had dinner with Dinz. I highly recommend never doing this.
    Dinz has gotten a little too "touchy-feely". He spent the entire dinner
    trying to analyze me. It really sucked.
    
    Wednesday, Dan "the new mr. no show" was supposed to meet me and /Don
    at some fern bar to watch the game....but he never showed. /Slasher and
    I drank some yuppie beer and had something to eat....and dragged Dan
    through the mud for not showing up.
    
    Pretty good trip overall...seems like I forgot something but I can't
    recall what it was.

    	I was wondering the same thing.  I can think of two possible 
    reasons but I've heard nothing official here in his hometown of 
    Springfield.
    
    	One could be that Travis is a busy man.  Every summer since he
    was in 8th grade, Travis has spent his summer running all over the
    country to different camps and exhibitions.  Chances are that he won't
    be in town during that time.
    
    	Second reason could be that Travis was not invited.  Is there a
    certain radius that they choose from?  I can understand kids from right
    around Boston being on the Boston team, but Travis lives 80 miles from
    Boston.  Could it of had something to do with geography?
    
    	Oh yea, a third reason is maybe he doesn't want to play in it.
    Maybe he's trying to get ready for his first season at Tech and might
    not want to risk getting hurt.  
    
    	Whatever the reason, I haven't heard anything around town as to
    why he isn't playing.  Wish he was though.

    Excellent weekend of basketball, although the Boston team wasn't very
    strong.  They lost to a mediocre Pittsburgh team in the first round.
    
    New Orleans won the title, 92-87 over Chicago.  Randy Livinston, a 6-3
    SOPHOMORE point guard, was the MVP.  He has some unbelievable moves
    driving to the basket, and had NBA range on his 3-pointers.  For the
    three games, he averaged 26.7 ppg, 7.3 apg, 3.7 rpg, with 6 steals and
    3 blocks.  He was unbelievable.
    
    Juwan Howard from Chicago had another tremendous Shootout - in the
    first round, he totally dominated 6-10 Sharone Wright of Atlanta (going
    to Clemson).  Howard had 23 poipnts and 15 rebounds, while Wright had
    0 (that's right, zero) points and 4 rebounds.  For the tournament,
    Howard averaged 28.3 ppg and 17.7 rpg.
    
    Other performers of note in the tourney were Lawrence Moten of DC
    (going to Syracuse), Eric Brunson of Boston (he's a legit big-time
    player, but he had no support; going to Temple), two guys going to
    DePaul - Will Makon (6-7 F Pittburgh) and Tommy Kleinschmidt (6-5 F
    Chicago), James Forrest of Atlanta (6-8 F Georgia Tech), Don Boyce
    (6-5 Colorado) and Belefia Parks (6-1 Temple) of Chicago and Jamal
    Phillips (6-6 Rutgers) of New York.
    
    There were several other outstanding underclassmen bedises Livingston:
    Kerry Kittles and 6-10 Duane Spencer of New Orleans, Jamal Jackson and
    PG Hector Negron of Boston, 6-10 Terrell Bell of Atlanta, 6-4 Dante
    Calabria and 6-1 Casey Givener of Pittsburgh, 2-7 JOhn Duggan and 6-1
    Jerald Walker (who won the award for highest degrgee of difficulty on
    his shots!) from Oakland, and 5-10 PG Jermaine Brown of DC.
    
    Friday afternoon, the SHootout had to be moved from the Walter Brown
    Arena at BU upstairs to the Case Center (first time since 1979), since
    there was a lot of condensation on the floor from the ice that BU
    inexplicably left down.  One player slipped and sprained an ankle, so
    we moved everything upstairs at halftime of the first game.  It was a
    lot of fun being in a real gym - the place was packed, it was hot and
    sweaty, like a gym should be.  By Saturday, the Arena was safe again,
    so the semifinals were back downstairs.
    
    All in all, an excellent tournament, lots of talent, and lots of fun.

	I was going to go to the Shootout Sunday but Mike Childs wimped out.
8^)  Actually I was broke and didn't mind not going.  You see after the 
Supreme Court decision on nude dancing last Friday I decided to conduct my 
own investigation on its affects on the local economy.  It was a time 
consuming and exhausting chore, but one I felt had to be done.

    Historically John Thompson has had alot of success recruiting in the
    New Orleans area.  Me_thinks he'll have his hands full going after some

    Surprising that Wright got dominated so badly.  Dale Ellis can't be
    pleased, although I think he had at least one decent game.  (20+

For those attending on Saturday.  If yer coming from a different way,
get a map!  No seriously, send me some mail, and I'll get you started
a different way.......


Here's directions to the Sawmill....


	1. I-90 West to I-84 West (exit 9 I think)

	2. I-84 West to I-384 East (exit 59 I think, but it's clearly
	   marked.)  Be careful on the exit ramp (it's a long stretch
	   of two lane "highway" which runs into 384) because they
	   do radar on it.  Also radar on 384 quite often too.

	3. Take EXIT 5 off of I-384.  This is the CT Rt 85 exit.

	4. At the top of the exit ramp take a right. You are on Ct 85.

	5. 1 mile from the exit ramp, Ct 85 takes a 90 degree right.
	   Stay on Ct 85.  (i.e. take the right)

	6. Proceed to the stop sign.  At the stop sign, go straight.

	7. From the stop sign to my house is a straight shot, but it's
	   a long way so here are some landmarks.

		a. .5 mile from the stop sign, on the left is a
		   country story/liquor store.

		b. .5 mile beyond that, on the left, is Bolton Pizza.

	8. Approx 1.5 miles beyond Bolton Pizza, on the RIGHT, is the
	   entrance to Gay City State Park.  My house is exactly 1.5 miles
	   from there.

	9. After passing the entrance to the park, the road makes a sweeping
	   right hand curve, and goes up a hill.

       10. As you go down the other side of the hill, you'll see a pond
	   (it's a big as a lake, but locally it's known as a pond) on the
	   right hand side.

       11. Once you've seen the pond, start watching on the right for the
	   entrance to Tallwoods Country Club.  (Light Green sign on 
	   white wooden posts).

       12. My driveway is the next driveway on the right AFTER the entrance.
           Black mailbox, #85.

       13. If you miss my driveway, proceed straight for .5 mile.  The
	   road hits a T intersection (with a little rotary type affair)
	   and you can go around the island and come back.  Driveway is
	   your first left....

    JD and Ninj, I could be talked into a cupla quick brew-dogs on Tuesday
    if it's not too late.  I'd be willin' to drive down to Chemsfuhd.

It's that time of year again folks!  Time to get psyched for hockey, as the 
pre-season is quickly sneaking up on us.

Last year I arranged for a group of us to go to the Philly vs. Boston preseason
game at the Centrum, and we had a great time!  

Well, for this year, my roommate (who works in Employee Services) arranged the
game - you might have seen the Flyers?  So, I don't have to do a darn thing!

Here are the specifics:

The Philadelphia Flyers vs. the Boston Bruins
Saturday, 14 September
7:30pm
The Centrum - Worcester, MA

If you'd all like to get together for the Second Annual Noters Preseason Game
Fiesta, there are plenty of seats available!  My roommate can seat us all in a
group and we can cheer the B's onto a win together!!

Here's what you'd have to do:

Order your tickets from Employee Services & Recreation.  That requires that you
fill out an Activity Request form and mail it, your check and a stamped, self
addressed envelope to - Employee Services & Recreation
                        P.O. Box 1009
                        W. Concord, MA  01742

Be sure to indicate that you are part of the noters group so she can seat you
with the rest of the crew!  If you have any questions, or can't find a form, 
send mail to ICS::FINUCANE and she'll help you out.  Orders MUST be received by
12 August!!!

Last year we all met up at the Firehouse for the "pregame warmups".  :-)  Any
ideas for this years' meeting place?

    I'd be interested in the Bruins game too except my youngest brother is
    getting married that day and I'm in the ^*&^%&*$# wedding.  I have so
    many good possibilities that day that I'm passing up - Holy Cross at
    UMass in college football, a 1-day trip to Yankee Stadium to see the
    Sox and Yanks - that I'm at least thankful it's not the day of a
    Patriots home game (we're in Pittsburgh on Sunday).  The wedding is at
    530 so I can at least go see Brockton at St Johns (D) in high school
    football earlier that day.  I may have to show up in my tux at the game
    though since the game is at 3 (or so I've been told).
    
    The interesting thing about this wedding is that my brother is marrying
    my sister-in-law's youngest sister.  My next-to-youngest brother got
    married 5 years ago and they (my youngest brother and his fiance') were
    paired in the wedding, and now they're getting married.  Same church,
    mostly the same guest list - they might as well rerun the VCR tape for
    background and save themselves the time and trouble.
    
    I was in the wedding 5 years ago too, which was not only the day of a
    Patriots home game but also the day of Game 5 of the ALCS between the
    Red Sox and Angels.  I spent a good part of the reception in my car
    listening to the Sox game on the radio.  No such distractions this
    time, unfortunately.
    
    I'd rather spend the day in Amherst at the UMass - Holy Cross game and
    then join y'all at the Centrum, but family duty unfortunately calls.

Go to the reception.  Get absolutely and outrageously sh*tfaced.  Dance
with every woman in the place, even the old wrinkled up prune faced ones.

Sing with the band. Sing the Mony Mony song and sing ALL the lines they
sing in the bars.

Insult your brother's mother-in-law.

Drink some more.  Get some chewing tobacco and spit into a cup.  Drink
some more after that.

Insult your brother's father-in-law (pretend he went to BC)

Down two shots of Jack Daniels, chug a beer, two more shots of Jack
Daniels, then chug another beer.


Finally, get up to the mike, make a big announcement, give a demonstration
of projectile vomiting, and then MOON the entire wedding.


I guarantee you, you will never be tied down with a family committment

    I was talking to Monty_East the other day about that preseason Bruins
    game.  We were saying how it would be great to go again - we hadn't
    been to one in a few years.  Put me down as a maybe.  I have to check
    my rugby schedule.  If it's a home game I'll probably go see the Bs. 
    Y'all can come to Stoney O'Brien's on Millbury St. in Worcester for the
    post-match rugby party before the Bs' game.

Well, it may have been small, but we thought of ourselves as Special Forces.
The party was light, fast, highly mobile, and it packed a good old-fashioned
sh_tload of firepower....

The weather at the Sawmill was Seattle-like, in honor of JD, and we didn't
let the drizzle stop us from consuming mass quantities of amber nectar.

Over beers, we solved all of DEC's problems, feeling some consternation
however that the powers that be would never listen to our solutions.
We also extensively analyzed the tendency in SPORTS to extensively 
analyze things.

We spoke of rugby as a metaphor for life, track and field as a metaphor
for life, women, men, men, women, children, DEC etc etc etc ad nauseum.

The Docker-wearing/Brie-Eating/Perrier-Sipping way of life was represented
as JD brought blue tortilla chips and salsa, and the mountain man way of
life was represented when we jumped the pasture fence, brought down 
a cow, dressed it, and threw it on the grill.

It was time for a TALC run.  Hitting Uncle Al's in Hartford, we had
a bodacious time.  Several minutes after we got there, an individual
said in my ear "Make way for a guy getting married".  I made some
room, and the chair pulled in next to me.  I looked around and there
was Kevin Dineen, Todd Krygier, Peter Sidorkewicz, and several other
Whalers.  Todd Krygier was getting married and was sitting next to me.

I spoke with Kevin Dineen, for a bit, and wished Krygier luck.  Then, JD
challanged Krygier to a lat posedown.  I was worried, because Krygier in
real life is HUGE, and I thought JD might lose the LAT KING crown.

JD and Todd stripped down.  Todd flexed, and the crowd gasped.  JD flexed,
and the strippers came running over to him as if he were a God(tm).  JD
won it, lats down.

Then, out came the headliner Ashley.  I lost some major respect for
Todd when Ashley reached down into my drink, pullled out an ice
cube, then she |CENSORED| it |CENSORED| |CENSORED| and then tried
to get Todd to eat the ice cube.  He wouldn't, and seemed totally shy.
She dropped it into his drink.   Meantime, I was totally taken with
Ashley, and her ice cube technique.

If I'd been farther into my workout program, I would have told Krygier
to be a man and take the ice cube, but he was just a tad bigger than me....


Later in her performance, Ashley gave me and JD personalized pictures.


Later still, I looked over way across the stage, and lo and behold, out
of the employee's only door, walks Kevin Farley, being led out by one
of the female employees.  My first thought was that the bouncer was larger
than Todd Krygier, and I didn't want to meet him up close and personal!
JD and I looked at each other, and it was like "I *don't* want to know...
I *DON'T* want to know!"

The evening ended back at the Sawmill.  We were rarin' to go, even though
it was 4am.  Then we sat down.  The rest, as they say, is history......

It'll be a tough party to top, but the next time we're gonna try......

Gay City is a state park on the site of an old abandoned mill town that's
almost 200 years old.  The reason it's called Gay City is because the
people who founded the town were named Gay.

Right behind the pasture behind my house is Tallwoods Country Club.  It's
a very nice golf course.  Fair front nine, tough back nine.  It's still
public, although I've heard it might go private....



As to who might stay long at the Ground Round, figure JD will put in 
some serious time.  He should just about be catchin' his second wind now....8^)

    As for Saturday - simply awesome Dude.  When Ashley hit the stage, I
    was fully woodward, but alas, in Connecticut, the lacquer stores close
    at 9:00 pm.    Saw's 'dog', WOlfie, is really pumped, no girly-mon dog
    is he.  Farley was feeding the thang raw hamburgs.  Kev also told Saw
    he thought Wolfie would look good in a tight leather outfit - so ya
    never know!
    
    Kev was also going to be the Chefmeister on Sunday morning, but being
    Men, we simply gnawed on the remains of the cow and drank extra strong
    coffee.
    
    I axed the Wailers where Bob Marley was - no one knew, but Dineen said
    he thought that he was still unsigned, or maybe down on the farm.  
    
    The "Employees ONly" thing was too funny.  Oh yeah, luckily, Kev didn't
    have his nose kicked back into his haid  ;-)

    The trip down and back was certainly a pleasant suprise.  I thought
    I'd be travellin haffway 'round the world.  It only took about 40
    minutes once I got on I-84 and I was suprised to see the UConn
    exit just before Frankwa's.  That certainly makes food for thought
    to see LOUIEEEE and the boys play the Huskies during the BE season
    since it's almost equidistant from my starting point to Providence
    or to UConn.  
    
    MikeC & 'Saw whattya think about a possible get-together sometime duing
    the BBall season & maybe get to see a game?
    
    
    
    JD, t'was really nice that you brought some authentic Seattle type
    weather to Hebron.  ;^)  After all, it was the weather that permitted

the ULTIMATE UCONN fan).

I'm not sure, but I think that tix for the Gampel Pavillion are hard to come
by.  If it's at  all possible we should do it, since I can be at 
the Campus in 15-20 minutes by backroads.


That weekend still have epic proportions in my memory, or perhaps it
was just Ashley 8^)

	Due to popular demand and some serious chopbusting from our
friend Deb, the Cathmeister and I (who, BTW, are roommates) have set
aside August 17th, Saturday as the evening of the official, 'Better
catch us before hockey season starts' party!

	Seeing as this is going to be a party of epic proportions, we
ask that you kindly RSVP either yea or nay by Wednesday, August 14th.
The 'yeas' will be provided with beer, munchies & directions.  The
'nays' will be provided with tales of fun that they've missed, all
juicy gossip and a complimentary tape of "lost" Love Boat episodes
for the next Saturday night they want to stay in. :-)  Spouses,
significant others, and guests are also welcome...please let us
know if you will be bringing anyone with you.

	Just a couple of F.Y.I.'s - if you don't drink beer you'll have
to bring your own.  There are two (2) cats...if you're allergic you're
in trouble!  

	No theme, here, folks; just some good, clean fun.  Ties are not
required.  Underwear, however, is! (Don't ask who's checking!)  ;-)

    LT100, making our way across Mt. Elbert and Sugarloaf Mountain by
    flashlight.  Perhaps those of you at the party could take a moment to
    offer some cosmic assistance through your alcohol muddled minds.  I'll
    attempt to pick it up through my beta-endorphin muddled mind.
