| Can't help directly (my doctor is 30 miles away), but
if this were a US site I'd say "go see Health Services", and they'd
ring a doctor for you. Here I'd suggest you find your friendly local

165.2 | A chemist might be able to help | KERNEL::AUSTIN | | Wed Jun 07 1989 11:28 | 6 |
| It may be worth asking at a chenmists to see if the medication you
need is available without a prescription , if not, the pharmacist
might be able to give you better advice as how to get a prescription.
Good Luck.

The doctor I use, usually gives us an appointment the same day we need
it. - A VERY RARE OCCURENCE so I am told. She has a small practice
here in Basingstoke, and I'd like to keep it that way!. If you want
her number, give me a call.

| If it's really that serious and you just need a presciption and a
chemist won't give you the stuff without presciption, I'd suggest just
going to a health centre, explain the situation and see what they can
do. In my experience they can get you the prescription without you
having to wait to see a doctor.

165.5 | I hate needles!!! | CHEST::JENKINS | Squidgy bits... | Wed Jun 07 1989 15:03 | 13 |

Along the lines of previous questions....
I need to have some vaccinations done to go on holiday - but as I live
near Reading, I don't want to take endless amounts of time off work.
So...is there a health centre around here that will do the injections for
me without me joining a practice??
Anyone got any ideas??

As I understand it (someone correct me if I'm wrong),
you can normally walk into any doctors and register
as a temporary resident. Whether or not you can see
the Doctor straight away depends, I guess on how busy
they are and how urgent your case is.
I had to do this when I moved to Reading and got in
straight away.

165.9 | Doctors in Kempshott? | KERNEL::MORRIS | Which universe did you dial? | Thu Sep 10 1992 10:44 | 10 |
| I and my family are moving to Kempshott in a couply of weeks and are
looking for recommendations of doctors. We have only a couple of
criteria:
Must be good with young children (1 son, 12 months old)
Must be sympathetic (not "brusque and businesslike")
Any suggestions?
