I am at the point of adding aileron control horns to my new tow plane. On my other towplane I used the 4-40 threaded studs and they seemed to work fine. I had them in my hand at the hobby shop to use again, when I noticed that they said they were for use up to a .60 size plane. Any suggestions for alternatives, or do you guys think the 4-40 studs are O.K. Thanks, Jim - whose learning alot about large IC planes!

Jim, You probably want to check with someone who has built large RC aircraft, but my personal opinion is the "Sonic tronic" type threaded control horns should work fine. They handle the stress on .60 pattern planes that fly close to 100 mph ( not sure if anyone is using them on the 1.20 size pattern ships ) , so I don't the ailerons on a slow flying tow ship would over stress them.
