I want to mount my K&B .65 on my airplane, the engine came with a rear
mount that you stick in place of the back plate of the engine. Do I
have to take any special mounting hardware or precaution using this
type of mounting over the regular black carbon fiber mount?.

No - just bolt it to the firewall. Use blind nuts inside the
firewall if you can.
