Has anybody had any expierence in building the EZ Spirit of 76 guilder? Hobby shop is selling this plane for $19.99 and claims it takes only 2 to 4 hours to build. They also say it's all foam. How does this plane fly?

We wrapped some tape around the nose with rock in it and attempted to fly it. We crashed it once or twice on the hi-start then he threw it in the garbage can. Now you have to take this with a grain of salt. We were just klutzing around and did know what we were doing. In the careful hands of a loving builder and flyer - it may be fine. But at $19 I believe it is over priced (my opinion). Bye --+-- Kay R. Fisher | ---------------O--------------- ################################################################################

We've been hearing about a quick built $20 foam plane from NSP that they are going to use on their annual Cape Cod slope soaring/racing session in October. It's put together with tape and has a short building time. Does this sound like the same plane?

I once bought a Captain America foam glider at Toy' R Us, taped the wing and covered it, cut holes in it and placed servos, receiver and battery so that no ballast was required to balance it. I installed strip ailerons on the wings and used ny rods taped and epoxied to the fuse for rudder and elevator and it was an excellent slope glider for less than $20.00 in materials. If you try this make sure you get the straight wing glider, the taper wing does not fly as well. Will |
