On my new Turbo Optima Mid, the instructions say to glue the tires to the wheels with CA glue. Does the super-glued tire come off once it is glued on or are you doomed to changing tires and wheels together when the tires wear out? sam

Yes, the instructions are correct, and yes, they will come off again. AS LONG AS you use the CA "VERY" sparingly. Three tiny drops in a triangle pattern around the rim. Slightly pull back the tire and put a drop between the tire and rim. One of the thicker CA'S is best. The thin stuff, like regular super glue penetrates too far making it difficult or impossible to get the tire off again. I always glue my tires on and after learning my lesson using TOO MUCH, a pin head size drop in those three places is sufficient to hold the tire on. Steve | |||||

If your wheels are "flat" (like the wheels used for sponge tires) wrap the wheel with a single layer of masking tape and use all the glue you want. The tires will stay on until you take them off and the wheels will stay clean. Chris |
