the car exists, and is a Jaguar (perhaps an XJ12?). I didn't
hear the story about the driver being banned, but I did hear that
he had more than his fair share of attention from the boys in blue.
I used to know the name of the owner, but I can't remember who he is.
Anyway, the car can often be seen around Edinburgh's New Town.

| I've seen a Porsche with plate PORTIA, and an X1/9 with plate VROOM.
My old 240Z had plate PDP-Z for many years, back when DEC machines
were all PDPs. Also I recall a VW Rabbit bearing plate FIVER (you
have to have read Watership Down).
