    Personally, I would string the little speeder up by the proverbials.
    He surely MUST realise the pro's and con's of speeding on public
    roads......if not then he needs a couple of weeks in a cell to remind
    him. Anyone who drives over the "ton", needs a check-up from the neck-up!  
    
    I really do not believe that they "police" asked for a autograph, before 
    letting him go.....what a load of garbage!!!
    
    Over the last few years, we have all read about the increases in tragic
    deaths due to the "speed merchant" brigade. If caught, then the "toys"
    should be taken away and sold off. He may be the best driver in the
    world, but it takes two "or ten", cars to cause a crash!!!!

    You don't know what speed he was actually doing, what the road
    conditions were, what the weather was like, what car he was driving or
    anything!!!
    
    And lets face it, Senna is one of the few people who regularly drives
    at speeds of 2 to 3 times the speed limit on roads far narrower than
    motorways.
    
    If he was driving safely, the Police may only have pulled him in case
    it was a stolen car or a p*ss-head. I would have a lot of respect for a
    Policeman who respected a good driver, regardless of speed, and the
    fact that it just "happened" to be Senna - so what!!!!
    
    Get some facts first.

    What do you think of the case where two people helped a Russian spy
    to escape but were let off by the jury, despite being guilty in the
    eyes of the law?
    
    If you think Senna should have been nicked for speeding (whatever the
    circumstances) you presumably believe these two 'peace campaigners'

    HOWEVER,
    This makes it worse! he's used to driving at high speed with everyone
    of the same mind, of a similar skill level, high on adrenalin and
    knowing what's expected of them. He is in a totally different
    environment on public roads. This sort of driving taken onto a public
    road could be lethel!.

Given that Senna's mentality is "get out of my way or I'll force my way through
anyway and crash into you", I wouldn't want to be on a public road within 100
miles of the guy...

And I wonder how much experience he has of driving on *British* roads...

    A LAW of this country, makes it ILLEGAL for ANYONE to exceed 70MPH on a 
    motorway. And that includes arrogant little SH**S from other countries.
    
    IF he has been doing 130+ MPH, then a spell at HM pleasure would do the
    trick, before he wipes out a whole family, as they legally drive down the 
    motorway on their annual holidays!
    
    Yes, of course I, and probably you, have exceeded that limit, but 130+ is

    The curves on motorways are specifically designed for speeds up to
    130MPH - thus the road is suitable.
    
    You do not know the traffic conditions or the weather or the car, and
    you don't even know what speed he was doing - so you can't pass comment
    for any other reason.

    Agreed.......Can someone read the papers in the UK and tell us the
    details..was he doing a 100 or 130 as 'sort of' mentioned in earlier
    notes......or is it the usuall c**p from the tabloids?
    
    Besides, it makes no difference who it was, the law says 70MPH. 
    
    Wilson,  even at 70MPH you can still take out 'a whole family on there
    hols'...its not just speed that counts ...re nose to bumber sierras on
    the M25 ;-)

    
    	I reckon they should string him up with piano wire its the only
    langauge these people really understand and to think that he could have
    killed an entire brace of breeding hedgehogs as well by his selfish
    and stupid attitude after all that Alain Prost got done on the Frog
    Autoroute the other year and he got fined lost his license as well
    these superstar drivers are all the same of course the Sun reckons he
    was doing over 180 in some super Jap motor my dad who built railways in
    Burma says he would never buy one of their cars and they reckon he gave
    plod his autograph string them up as well I hear that Gazza is going
    to join Williams now that he can't play footie anymore my mum of course
    loves that Nigel Mansell reckons he'll win at Silverstone...

    I drove down the M8 at 145mph in the pouring rain and thought it was
    completely safe. The only people who seem to complain about this
    type of driving are the owners of cars that can't go fast enough.
    Personally I think we should follow Germany and abolish speed limits on

    You should have followed me when I undertook him on the hard shoulder
    that way the police wouldn't have caught you either, dont you just hate

    I wondered  what  held  him  up,  I  was having a burger at Silverstone
    waiting for him. 

    Another amusing story indirectly involving the fast man from Brazil.
    
    Some months ago, the Glasgow Herald Editorial staff decided to do a
    profile on Mr. Senna. Accordingly, some deputy Editor instructed the
    YTS Gopher to nip down to the Records/Library within the Herald and
    dig up everything he could find on Ayrton Senna.
    
    The young laddie went off immediately to comply with this request. 
    Some time later he returned and handed over a folder filled with
    interesting material on...
    
    AYR TOWN CENTRE !!
