    Looking for someone who does miscellaneous heavy item removal. We have 
    the 'insides' of a piano (whatever you call it) in my basement. It is a 
    flat piece about 5' x 5', 4" thick.....but EXTREMELY heavy.  Still with the
    piano strings on it. It must be made out of iron.
    
    Anyways... my basement has a convenient entrance from my garage/cellar,
    so no lifting other than into a truck is required.  The outsides of the
    upright were trashed.
    
    Any leads appreciated.

Basically these are motorized fans enclosed in galvanized pipe readied to 
interface with heating or air-conditioning duct-work. I bought them new about 
15 years ago to move air around a coal stove for better heat distribution - 
used two of these units for one season then converted to gas heat. So two are 
brand new still in the original boxes. The other two are also just like new.

I think I paid $33 for each one.  You can have all four for $10.00. If they 
don't sell the trashman gets them!

       Anyone know of a lumber dealer in the Leominster, MA. area that sells
    2x4 and 2x6 cedar? I only need a couple of 10' lengths in the 2x6 and a
    six footer for the 2x4. The Woodery in Lunenberg has some but they want
    $2.68 a foot. This seems a little high to me for grade D, NON Kiln
    dried lumber. I'm willing to travel 15-20 miles to get a good deal.

    I had a similar problem last year when I bought an old Craftsman RAS. I
    called Sears Customer Service in Chicago and they made a xerox copy of
    the manual from their archives and sent that to me. Took about a week.

    I'd offer to copy mine, but I sold the saw and replaced it with a table
    saw.

    I am having the 9" fiberglass bats removed from on top of my
    attic floor and then having cellulose blown in.
    
    I don't know the count right now, but if anyone is interested
    in this insulation, it is available - or it will be around the 22nd
    of April.   It covers an area of about 700 sq ft.
    
    

re 7.63, fiberglass bats of insulation available:

if you have a reason to get rid of the bats, by all means do so.
if so, please mention your town so someone can figure out how
to move them. 700 sq ft of 9" is over 500 cuft before compression.

if not, you may want to put them back down on top of the cellulose.
it will reduce your heating or airconditioning bill.
just be sure to slash the backing. 

i put unbacked fiberglass over cellulose, about 15 years ago.
the combination is no problem.

I've got two old porch posts and 2 brand new.  They are square at top and
bottom and round and decorative in the middle half of the posts.  The two old
ones match and the two new one match.  The new ones have been treated with 
cuprinol and would need to be painted, not stained I believe.  The old ones are
in excellent shape (for old columns) and are painted white. The new posts cost
me $85 each ten years ago and have been in my basement ever since.  $40 takes
both.  The old ones are $15 each or best offer.

These are out of a 110 year old house.   Black porcelain knobs and rod and

	I just replaced a 12 year old queen-size bedding
set with a new one (that's just too darn thick!) and the
old one's available FREE to the first taker.   Good for
a guest room, I'd say, unless what you're sleeping on is
worse...the box 'spring' is a bit creaky and loose at the joints
but could be put back together.  The mattress is clean and
in good condition, great for guests or let your kids jump on it.

	I picked up the new stuff myself and so they didn't remove
the old.  I'd rather let someone use it than trash it, but trash
it I will soon.  Available now in Tyngsboro, MA, just south of
Nashua - I'll help load onto your car and tie it down.  Ask nicely

    Wanted: to borrow or rent a cement mixer for the week of May 17th
    thru May 26th.  I've got some footings to pour, some bricks to lay,
    and some foundation to be repointed.  None of the amounts of 
    concrete and mortar are significant enough to warrant hiring a 
    truck to come in and the work is going to be spread out over 10 days.
    If anyone has a concrete mixer in the 1.5 to 6.0 cubic foot range, I
    would love to be able to work something out with you.  I would take
    full responsibility in returning it in same or better condition then
    I got it and would also be willing to shell out a few bucks as a 
    rental.  Rental fees from the normal places are higher than I would
