ago.

It is available, but very hard to find as a standard stock item.
You might want to special order it from your favorite store. It's
on the Virgin label. Do get the CD, since the vinyl pressing leaves
alot to be desired (very cheap, thin vinyl).

| Is it available domestically?
I've seen it a few times in the record stores here in Colorado and
it's always an import. I'd really like to have this soundtrack,
but it's not worth quite the $22.95 they were charging for it to
me.

I'm pretty sure it is available domestically.
I bought it used for $9 in New York.
I'm not sure of you puts it out though.

The Risky Business soundtrack is most definitely an import.

Thanks for the help. I've checked with several stores but none
seem to have it. Do I need to check with a specialty store since
it's an import? I'd appreciate any suggestions on the best way
to obtain it. I'm in Atlanta.

I can get it for you in Colorado Springs if you're willing to float
$22.95 for it. Sound Warehouse has 2 copies available at this price.

1331.8 | I saw it in Milford | RICKS::ANDERSON | | Thu Sep 29 1988 15:14 | 7 |
| I saw the "Risky Business" soundtrack on the counter of a CD store in Milford,
Mass. and it's been there every time I go in there and may still be. The
guy says it's only available as an import. I can't remember the name of
the store but it's right next to the Light and Leisure (Purple Building)
just off of 495 on Route 16.

It is a great disk, by the way!

| I don't have the Risky Business soundtrack, so I can't be sure,
but when I saw the movie I noticed most of the soundtrack was remixes
from their album 'Exit'. I don't know if it's available on CD but
if it is it will certainly be less than $22.95.

| The place in Milford is called Untouchable Sound. They also have a store
in the 9/20 mall in Shrewsbury.
I saw (and played) the Risky Business disk but left it there, because I just
couldn't pay $22.95.

When I first saw Risky Business, I was amused that I reconized the
Tangerine Dream songs that were played during the various, ahh,
`encounters' between Lana and Joel. I recently watched the flick
again, but didn't recognize as much of the music.
Never the less, I'm pretty certain that the music that we hear when
we first meet Lana is from the TD Album _Force Majuere_ (sp?).
If you liked the TD soundtrack, you'll like that album. I can't
think of any others that have a similar sound, off the top of my
head. If you want more info, drop me a line. I'll go research
my collection. Also, there should be a topic about TD in this notes
file.

1331.13 | Names of the tracks? | TSG::FORSYTHE | | Tue Nov 29 1988 14:00 | 6 |
| Could anybody tell me the names of the Tangerine Dream tracks that
are on the sound track? I think I have some of the songs, but when
I played them for a friend, she said they were not the same.
Just curious

1331.14 | Song listing | PUEBLO::GABBE | | Sat Jan 07 1989 18:37 | 22 |
| I finally broke down and bought it at Tower this weekend since it was one
few sales where everything is on sale. Here are the songs:
Artist Song
------ ----
Bob Seger Old Time Rock & Roll
T. Dream The Dream is Always the Same
T. Dream No Future (Get Off the Babysitter)
T. Dream Guido the Killer Pimp
T. Dream Lana
Muddy Waters Mannish Boy (I'm a Man)
Jeff Beck The Pump
Prince D.M.S.R.
Journey After the Fall
Phil Collins In the Air Tonight
T. Dream Love on a Real Train (Risky Business)
Total time: 46:02
I am not really entralled with this CD. The song sequencing makes
listening pretty jarring. The songs other than T. Dream are nothing
special. If you want the T. Dream songs, buy one of their disks.

1331.15 | I got it | ATLACT::GIBSON_D | | Tue Jan 17 1989 21:15 | 9 |
| Re my base note .0 and others.
I too finally bought it ($17.97) less 15% at Atlanta CD in Atlanta. As
.14 points out, the music switchs are jarring. I just program my
player to play only the T.D. stuff plus Phil Collins. .14 has listed
the T.D. music, are any of these titles familiar to anybody with T.D.
records. I have looked for the previous recommendations but it appears
they are not available on CD at this time.
Thanks for all of your help.
