| Only what I saw on telly and what I read, apparantly Rod Stewart !!
(ahem) and Seal are "headlining".... Jon Bon Jovi, KD Lang and Steve
Winwood will perform. Other big names like George Michael and Elton
John are also expected to join the line-up. Pure pergutory, middle of
the road rock if you like that sort of thing. Couldn't stomach it
meself but it takes all sorts...
A far better day out.. Chelmsord V97.. Blur, Khula Shaka, Dodgy, Ash,
Mansun, Supernaturals, Reef, James, Divine Comedy announced so far..

| Also worth checking out is the Brighton Essential Music festival in
May. Three one day events rather than a three-day festival (if you see
what I mean). Friday is dance day, with loads of top names (Chemical
Brothers, Orb, Dreadzone, Eat Static...), Saturday is 'Indie Day' with
lots of big indie bands. There is a web site around somewhere if
anyone is interested...
