Still going as far as I am aware. They tend to have 'Stone Roses'-esque
tendencies as far as recording records are concerned.

Have recently announced that they are reforming and are now confirmed

There is now a law banning these people from recording studios so
thankfully they are unable to force their sounds on an unsuspecting

re .14
Ah, but you see, Stretch, I prefer to save my energies for the odd,
really pungent note. Also, all the fascinating fluff I might feel
compelled to fill these pages with seems to find it's way in here
anyway without my assistance............okay, I'm a total lightweight.
I would rattle on about some of the bands my little brother's
photographed (hey! check out the new Vox and NME!), but that really
would be very sad.
Jane, the Shrimps is the wildly inventive nickname of Southend utd.
Does this knowledge make me a true Essex girl?
Other bands from Essex - well, Depeche Mode are from Basildon, as is
Alison Moyet, and Vince Clarke has a bijou residence in Thorpe Bay.
Natalie Merchant? Wasn't she 10,000 Maniacs? Harriet Wheeler was
chanteuse with The Sundays. (Cue Mr Rutherford....)
Oh and yes I am indeed from Southend - or, to be more precise,
Shoeburyness (as immortalised in song by the Bard of Barking; just to
keep the musical theme alive).
Phew - note over - 6 month sabbatical beckons!

What has Natalie Merchant got to do with the Sundays ?? She was in

'critical acclaim' but 'public ignomy', hence the re-release.
FWIW, Harriet Wheeler is the lead singer with the Sundays.
