910.1 | The King - instrumental at Mach V! | SOURCE::ZAPPIA | What the hell am I trying to say? | Mon Oct 21 1991 14:34 | 6 |

The King is mostly a very enjoyable intrumental with one
vocal/cover "Like a Virgin" which actually sounds like a
T.F. track.

Teeange Fanclub's latest single is getting a lot of airplay at the moment thanks mianly to
Mark & Lard. The thing is, have they recently 'discovered' The Byrds & Gram Parsons or
have they always done stuff like this ? If their earlier stuff is similar, can someone
recommend an album to buy ??

| I wish I could recommend a formatter....
'Grand Prix' is meant to be quite good.

Grand Prix is good. I haven't heard the latest single so I can't
comment on that.
Grand Prix has been out for a while so perhaps there is a new album
coming out?

| Yup - new album soon. I think I heard some live stuff on Radio one a
few weeks ago? Sounded good.

If this single is representative of their latest stuff then I agree it's really good, so good I'll
even spend money on it - vocal harmonies and jingle jangle guitars (rick's I reckon) straight
out of the late sixties... Gram Parsons would be proud %^)

Oh, if anyone else likes the sound, check out the first album by 'The Church' called 'The
Church or 'Of Skins and Heart' depending on where you buy it.... It sounds very similar and
came out in 1980...

| Yes, come on Graham. You're leaving a trail of widescreen notes behind
you and I can't be bothered to reformat them all. Hit return every time
you count 80 clicks on your keyboard!
Phil Gilliland.

910.9 | not intentional, sorry.... | OSEC::16.42.0.54::Graham_Stone | Space available for rent, call 7-851-1810 for rates | Wed Jun 04 1997 12:38 | 16 |
| Sorry for the widescreen stuff....
I thought setting my default screen to 80 cols
fixed it - obviously not %^( It wraps around on it's own
quite nicely but presumably it's not inserting any
<CR>'s....
How do you set the screen width in NetNotes then ???
Now I know how others felt when they had this problem
it's just not apparent to the person typing the notes at
all....
