   My hubby bought me the "Jimmy Sommervile Singles Collection" on CD.
   I taped the songs I particularly like, then took the CD back to
   Our Price and exchanged it for "Behaviour" by the Pet Shop Boys
   which is without a doubt the best album of 1990 with excellent
   tracks such as So Hard, Jealousy, The End of the World, Nervously,
   This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave.
785.4WELMTS::GREENBApache Twins: This year's modelsWed Jan 02 1991 11:205
    Extricate - The Fall. A corker, I'd forgotten how good they can be.

    That's the lot.

    Bob
785.5I never exaggerate either...SRFSUP::BERZERempire of the senselessWed Jan 02 1991 17:336
    "Girls Girls Girls" - Elvis Costello

    This was a pleasant surprise; about 4 hrs. worth of music!
    I never ask for music `cause I like to shop for it myself.

785.6IGETIT::BROWNMThis year is MY year!Thu Jan 03 1991 12:2619
    My little brother and sister bought me the De La Soul album, bless 'em.

    I bought myself;

    The Scientist	-	The Bee 12" (buzzing bleeps)
    Madonna -	Justify My Love USA 12" (Exlcusive and very
    			very interesting mixes.  Unbeleivably interesting)
    Depeche Mode	-	Speak And Spell LP (Still sounds pretty
    				fresh compared with today's stuff.)

    From Jan (Thanks Jan);

    Inspiral Carpets	-	Commercial Rain USA 12" (I only like the
    				original mix, the rest are a waste of vinyl.)
    Soho -	Hippychick USA 12" promo (This is being
    played to death on Radio 1. Should be a hit if it gets ree-released.)

    Matty,

    I too have heard 'Hippy Chick' countless times recently, and yes, it is
    being re-released, on Monday 7th I believe.

    RE: Hippy Chick.

    The wangy-wangy bit at the beginning, I know is nicked from another
    song, 'cos I heard them both being played together, when it first came
    out - Does anyone know who it is ??

    				Andy.

    How Soon Is Now by The Smiths if Hippy Chick is the record I think it
    is.

    This was supposed to be .10 but something went wrong.

    My contribution ......

    Enlightenment - Van Morrison.

    We are talking a hot s**t album here.

    Also, being a new cd player owner and an old rock and roller, I got a
    22 track compilation of Little Richards greatest.

    If anyone asks you "where's it at man?"....this is where it's at!

    5 star recommendation, not a duff track amongst them.

    If you are into blues and had never considered Little Richarsd to be a
    blues singer, listen to "Send me some loving". It'll melt your
    eyeballs.

    Andy, is this Van lp the one with a song about the days before
    rock+roll, where he keeps going on about wireless knobs?

    Yes, that's the album.

    My fave rave tracks (hark at me) are the opener (Real Gone), the title
    tarck and "Memories".
