Only seen two groups this year, but one shone out...
Level 42 - Wembley in February (or was it March?).
A real show on a Monday night with the whole audience getting into
it. The group's enthusiasm was extremely evident and the music seemed
so much better 'in the flesh'.
I also saw Gloria Estefan and the MSM which was a good concert,
but somehow didn't really seem to warm up, despite the group's best
efforts.

551.13 | Three GOOD times. | CLADA::MEAGHER | These are the hands of a tired man | Tue Dec 05 1989 11:58 | 12 |
|
Haven't seen that many bands this year.
1. Something Happens - CJ's, Galway (all 300 of us had a great time :-)
2. Deacon Blue - Point, Dublin, 3rd Dec
3. Voice of the Beehive - Trinity Ball, Dublin The show was great
despite resistance from crowd & weird singer. (*I wasn't drinking*)
Biggest disappointment of the year was Simply Red in the RDS, Dublin.
I used to be a fan.
