482.0. "YES or pseudo-YES ??" by JANUS::STANHOPE () Thu Aug 17 1989 14:04

Looking at a previous (recent) note on N.E.C. gigs I see that there are
two nights in late October advertised as 'An evening of YES music'.
Could someone tell me the line-up of the band playing the two gigs -
ie. does it include Jon Anderson, Steve Howe etc..

    Any information appreciated.

I think the line up is: Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, and Bruford. Chris
Squire is'nt involved and for legal reasons the former can't use
the name Yes. Sounds very similar to the Floyd-Walters wrangle.

    Yours at a guess.

Tony Levin plays bass. They are touring on the new ABWH album and
also performing the Fragile and Close to the edge albums. Check
your Pay per view guide for Sept. 9th. They are on the King Biscuit
Satalite TV network from Shoreline Amphitheater in California.

    Al who will be there!

RE: -1 Would that we Europeans had this "pay per view" system.

Anyone know their schedule for mainland Europe - particularly Switzerland? It
looks like a swan-song nostalgia rap (Bruford back for the first time since
1972); however I'd love to have (a final?) the chance to see them. On the other
hand, how many "final tours" have some of the other bands of the same period
had (The Who, Floyd etc.) had?

Pity Squire isn't there - otherwise I regard this as the classic "Yes" line-up
(with due respect to Alan White).
