If its any consolation, i bought "Red Skies over paradise"
last year here in Munich, and i think they made more than three.

| Didn't they make the first two with John Watts, who then left,
then they recorded Red Skies? There was another lp recently, which
I think was the first since Red Skies, tho' there is a little nag
in my mind saying it isn't.
John Watts put out a few solo lps, which are worth getting if you
like Fischer Z type stuff.

I'm not quite sure of the order in which they were made, or the number
really. As far as I know, Fischer-Z only made 3 albums. I know that
John Watts is on at least one of them. I'll keep an eye out for the JW
solo albums. I'd be happy with anything I can find. Goin deaf for a
living is one of my all time favourite albums.
One thing can be said about their lyrics though, they give The Smiths a
run for their money on being the most depressing around.

| Fischer Z still seem to be around, they are listed for the upcoming
Open Air Festival in Augsburg in early July. Dont't know about the
lineup though. But I'll look out for the reviews after the festival
to see what they are like these days.

| The last time i ever heard of Fisher Z was when i went
to Portugal a couple of years back.
They were very big over there, every time the TV was on
they always seem to be on it.
I have about two or three of there singles at home.
The funny thing is the year after i went, my brother
went to Portugal and Fisher Z happened to be on the same
plane going over.
I saw some of there LP,s in the second hand record shop
in Reading a little while back.I think your best bet
is to either look round the second hand shops or ask
in a record shop to see if they can order it.
Anyway goodluck.

448.7 | 'xcuse me, while I get nostalgic! | CURRNT::BOND | | Thu Sep 28 1989 11:56 | 13 |
| Have a few albums of theirs, and a couple of John Watt's. John
Watt's used to live in the Sandhurst area (or College town), went
to school in Bracknell. Used to mess about with song writing even
then, more on the folky lines though. Don't seem to have done much
here, but were (if not still are) popular on the continent,
particularly Germany.
If there's anything you particularly want to get hold of, I can
see what I've got.
Cheers
Al......another Al!
