My customer Liberty Mutual is confused regarding which version of VAX/VMS Cobol compilier is Year 2000 compliant. Liberty was told via a letter from our Year 2000 marketing manager that VAX/VMS Cobol 5.4 is the Year 2000 compliant version. However one of Liberties vendors ISI from Reading MA is telling them that Digital told them that VAX/VMS Cobol 5.1 will do it. Can anyone help me with this question ? Thanks... Steve C...

VAX COBOL V5.4 is the Year 2000 compliant version.
VAX COBOL V5.4 includes the necessary updated documentation which
explains the functionality available with the intrinsic functions that
can be used to work with 4-digit year information in place of ACCEPT.
VAX COBOL V5.1 is no longer supported.
