| Steve Yzerman scored his 1000th career point lasted night. A guy who
has played in the shadow of Mario, Wayne, Brett, etc... and just played
great, consistent hokey...
Loss to Buffalo lasted night hurt. Anyone catch the game before at
the neutral site where they still threw the octopi on the ice once they
clinched the win?

Wings win game 2 of the Norris semi-finals 6-2... with the Hawks going
down 0-2, maybe there's a glimmer of hope for the Wings, but no need to

| Sigh... didn't see the game... (went to see They Might Be Giants
perform at their high school). Earlier in the morning the Leafs
beat the Wings 9-3 with Gilmour getting 6 goals on the Sega Genesis
we're still borrowing... knew it was an omen.
Heads should roll there. Time for a new coach. These guys should
have been in the finals.

| As I've already mentioned to Walt, the Red Wings are in trouble.
Not only is this the only first round playoff series with that
lousy 2-3-2 home court disadvantage setup, but wouldn't the
PowersThatBe love to see a new market west coast team that leads
the league in sales of merchandise be involved in a tremendous first
round upset? NHL franchise applications from wannabe cities like
Phoenix would soar if the San Jose Sharks pull off this upset.

Osgood had made a stellar save, came out of the net a moment later to
clear a puck, went back into the net, and the Shark blasted it from
the point and into the net.....
After that, the Wings were as dead as the octopi on the ice....
