Conference foundr::firearms

Today is June 2nd/97.   At the end of the elections in Canada, 
today, we should have a better indication of how the Government 
will move on with their laws under bill C-68.  If the Liberals 
are re-elected, we are in big trouble.  If the PC's or Reform 
parties get elected, they have both stated that they will repeal
C68.  The outcome will be interesting.

Now that the Brit's and the Ausies have put major moves on the 
use of guns in their countries, Canada is probably close behind.

    The virus is closing in... the (mathematical) boundry betwixt Canada
    and the U.S. is infinitely thin...

Well the Liberals have a majority government, again, with the 
Reform party as the official opposition.  It looks like the 
fire arems community is in for one major ride.

Cretien and Rock have both stated, in many words, and different 
times since getting elected, that there is no place in Canada for
guns.  

So, the termoil continues......

is there anything in NAFTA that would "force" the US to comply with certain 
regulations/laws imposed by Canada/Mexico in regards to firearms?

    IMHO: the seats are doubtless *pretty large*.
