I'm selling my Atari Master Tracks Pro version 2.5B.  Great sequencer package.
This is the latest before the current version 3.0  (which lists at $395).

I've started to use Notator by C-Lab because of its notational/compositional
abilities in regards to on-screen. 

MTP has been very good to me.  It is the best Atari sequencer I've seen except
for Notator.  It is also very popular.  Runs on any Atari with at leat a SSDD
drive.  1 meg RAM prefered.

Asking $250 or ***BO***  (stress the Best Offer part :-).

The program comes with two identical disks (but are copy-protected.  If
they can be copied by copy programs like procopy I don't know but see
below for Passport free disk replacement policy when you are a member of
club Passport (about 35$)).

Can be upgraded to 3.0 (which supports SMPTE etc.) for $99 through Passport.
 (or $45 or so if you join Club Passport -- this membership gives you among 
other things 1/2 price on future upgrades and free replacement disks when a 
program disk goes south).

			Degas paint program

Note: This is not Degas Elite, it is it's predecessor.

Asking $15.00 (cheaper than a lot of games and will probably get used more).

If you have kids that like to draw or kids that you want to get interested in
using the ST buy them this program (for a christmas present maybe).

I have kids ages 6, 9, and 11. All three of them (and their friends) used this
program all of the time (a few times a week) for a year.

I'm getting rid of it because my oldest daughter who loves to draw (she has
even created her own fancy font) got profficient with all of Degas' functions
and wanted more. So I bought her Degas Elite.

In case you are not familiar with Degas, it was written by Tom Hudson, and
runs on a color or monochrome monitor. It comes with a very well written
manual.

Of course the program is even great for adults but if you are good at drawing
you'd be better off getting Degas Elite or one of the ather drawing programs
with more features.

I'll even fill the disk up with pictures.

Why am I advertising a "boom-box" HERE?  It makes a great portable stereo
amp/speaker setup for computers and portable keyboards, that's why!

What's unique about it?  Well, I hunted around aLOT to find a boombox that
sounded decent AND had line-in and line-out jacks.  This was the ONLY one
I could find at the time!  The Line-In's are useful for ...

	playing a portable CD player directly into the Panasonic
	playing a portable keyboard (if it has Line Out's) directly in stereo
	playing the sound of a computer (even a stereo-equipped one)
                                      				    
all with quite good quality sound.  Sure, you can get a brand-new boombox
for not much more than I'm asking, but NOT one with this level of quality,
sound and features ... if you have a portable keyboard or computer with
built-in speakers, you'll be surprised how much better the sound is when
you go through this unit ...

command line shell, neither of which are built into the ST). There is still
some very usefull information to be had from these books (it is information
that I already have in other texts).

    This is a rather games orientated package, in that the machine 
    comes with about 300 pounds worth of games software. Titles 
    include Batman (not the new game), Starglider 2, NZ Story, Time 
    and Magik, Jinxter, etc.
    
    Asking price is 400 pounds, so there's a saving of about 300 
    pounds. However, if you're simply after a 1040, then the price is 
    about the same as a new machine, so not much saving there. The machine 
    is about six-months old, in excellent condition.

   My brother got me 40 511001 1megx1 100ns DIP memory chips a few weeks ago,
and I can't use them for my application (another home computer...).  He told
me that they are the ones which are used for Atari ST memory upgrades, so
here I am.

   What I'd *really* like is to be able to trade the whole thing for 4meg
511000s, which is what I need.  However, I realize that's unlikely, so I'd
like to sell them.  I don't know a reasonable price.  To buy that amount of
memory at that speed would normally cost me $440 from White Mountain Computer,
considering that my PC needs 1megx9 for a meg of memory.  (Do Ataris have
a parity bit?  I don't recall offhand...)

   So, considering that they're not doing me any good, I'll sell them for
the best reasonable offer.  I'm in the Littleton, Ma. area so I can arrange
getting them personally to pretty much anywhere in the southern NH/eastern

The drive is formatted, ready to connect to your ST and boot. There is some
public domain software already on the drive.

I have tested the drive with both Supra and ICD software and there are no bad
sectors on the drive.

For those who may be interested, the mechanism is a MiniScribe M8425s 68ms
SCSI drive.

ATARI ST SOFTWARE FOR SALE.

I've just sold my ST, thinking I was going to buy an STE as an upgrade but
have now decided, seeing as I play more games than anything else on the machine,
that I'm going to go for an AMIGA instead. This means I've got a number of
Original games for the ST that I no longer want. Some of these are very recent
and are in excellent condition.

10 Pounds each
==============

Cadaver : A 3D isometric dungeon game where you guide a warrior around a
	  complex castle in search of a way out. This is by the Bitmap Brothers
	  and is one of the best games, both in terms of graphics and gameplay,
	  on the machine.

Speedball 2 : Followup to Speedball 1 (suprise!!!) this is a sort of space
	  age australian rules football!!! Incredible graphics, slick gameplay.
	  I played this so much I developed callouses on my joystick finger!!!

DragonFlight : This is a graphical adventure game, very "tolkein" in appearance.
	  It comes on three disks so it's very expansive. When certain quests
	  are completed you are treated to some very impressive animated
	  scenes.

Populus : One of the classics on the ST; you are a God and you have followers
	  which you must guide to overcome your opponent God who in turn
	  has his followers. You have many divine tools at your fingertips!
	  This game has fantastic graphics; a 3D world. There are 999 worlds
	  to play on!

Powermonger : A successor to Populus in that it uses a similar world for it's
	  gameplay. You are the commander of a small force of men who you
	  must guide to victory on island after island. You do this by
	  inventing new weapons, spying on the enemy and fighting! The world
	  is very realistic right down to weather; rain, snow, sunshine!

Chaos Strikes Back : The followup to the classic Dungeon Master. First person
	  3D view of a dungeon with animated creatures that take your breath
	  away. You have to figure out puzzle after fiendish puzzle to work
	  your way down into the depths of the dungeon to defeat Lord Chaos.

Omega :	  In this game you write a "program" to control a battletank. Your
	  program tells your tank what to do under what circumstances. You
          can then wage war on pre-designed tanks to earn money to improve
	  your original design. A game MADE for programmers in their spare
	  time!

Dungeon Master : This game is similar to Chaos in virtually every way except 
	  that Chaos Strikes Back has a hints disk and character design. It's
	  also much easier than Chaos.

Galdregons Domain : A beautiful graphic adventure game in which you wander
	  through castles, wasteland and forests in order to perform various
	  quests.

Empire :   The classic wargame. You control one force and the computer controls
	   another. Conquer cities from which to build ships, planes and armies
	   with which to expand your empire.

    A much more usable and well thought BASIC than the one bundles with the
    ST. If you want to do some programming on your ST, and you know BASIC,
    (let's face it, who doesn't know BASIC), this is one of the best. Full
    documentation, mostly in form of Command Dictionary.
     
     Red Storm Rising              +++++            �10    
    Highly addicitive submarine warfare. You play the part of a submarine
    commander and have to take on a series of missions to save the world
    from the bad guys (guess who). Looslely based on Tom Clancy's book.
    
     Castle Master (+ The Crypt)   ++++             �10
    Move through a 3d world and save your twin from the clutches of the
    evil castlemaster. Very pretty, and quite a good game. Includes castle
    master II, The Crypt.

    What more need be said. One of the absolute classic games ever. Surely
    it is just as famous as Elite. Wander round the dungeon to defeat evil
    Lord Chaos.

    Futuristic version of ice hockey, with full league capability. Play
    against yourself or the computer, use your winnings to build your team.
    
*    The Bards Tale                +++++            � 5  
    One of my favourites, wander round the town of Skara Brae, try to find
    the magic items to kill the evil sorcerer. Wander the town, find and
    explore the dungeons, solve the riddles.
    
*    Virus                         +++              � 5
    Very pretty shoot'em'up. The controls take a bit of getting used to,
    but when you do......BANG!!
    
     Dragons Breath                +++              �10
    Strategy fantasy game. You compete with two others (each one either
    computer or person controlled...so upto 3 players) to gain dominance
    over an area of land. Influence the populace, protect your lands,
    attack others. You're fighting forces are led by dragons, except you
    have to raise the dragons yourself, from a stock of eggs. Cast spells
    to aid yourself.
    
     Driller                       +++              � 7
    Roam the moon looking for gas hot-spots, and tap them all to save the
    world. Good 3D graphics, tricky puzzles.
    
*    Heroes of the Lance           +++              � 5 
    Dragonlance spinoff, take your party down into the dungeon, solve the
    quest wjilst avoiding/killing the badguys. Quite good, very tricky.
    Characters are as in the Dragonlance stories (mage, healer, fighters)
      
*    Sentinel/Starglider/Tracker   +++/+++/++       � 7  
    Sentinel is a fast-thinking strategy/arcade game...v.good
    Starglider is a fast and furious shhot'em'up
    Tracker is a shoot'em'up that can get very tricky

    Arcanoid is classic bat'n'ball with a twist.........v.good
    Wizball is shhot'em'up with a difference............v.good
    Eco is pretty, novel but ultimatley pointless

    You've just inheritted a spaceship, now you've got tomake it
    profitable. Wander the universe, talking to people in the towns,
    looking for markets to sell your goods.

    Icon driven adventure, similar (I believe) to Deja Vu.

    Very pretty (sound & vision), but I found it limited gameplay. It was
    almost worth it though for the sound and graphics. Having said that, it
    was one of the biggest games going a few years back !!

    cimbad::minix notes files. I amoving upwards to  12MB 
    
    Minix is an easy way of getting into UNIX without the pain!.

Migraph hand Scanner with TouchUp 1.65 and Scan-N-Save, $185.

This is $100 less than the currently advertised price.  (Not including
another $29 for Scan-N-Save.)  I will ship.  The system is labelled "not
for export outside USA and Canada", so I feel obliged to obey that.

This hand scanner does 100, 200, 300, and 400DPI bitonal scanning, and
will dither to simulate shades of grey (4 settings).

Touch-Up can reverse the process to get you true 32-level grey scale, at
about 100DPI.

I used it happily for years, and would recommend it to anyone.  I
updated to SCSI based flatbed scanner (on my Macintosh) so I don't need
the Atari based hand scanner anymore.

My DTN is now 297-9590, and PRNSYS is now at DECnet address 7.99, so
you may have trouble sending me mail unless you update your database.

    520 STFM upgraded to 1mb RAM using Xtra Ram board, internal double
    sided disk-drive (720k), external double sided dd (720k), joystick,
    mouse (not the atari one, but can't remember the name),
    possibly willing to include Star LC-10 printer (without cable)
    
    loads and loads of games, well over 100, nearly every ST-Format
    coverdisk, all ST-Format magazines (and a couple of ST-AMIGA Format),
    several ST User Mags and other ST mags.
    
    
    I'm open to offers for this system, but I'm not really willing to split
    it up because lets face it STs this old aren't worth much on their own,

    By any chance, did you ever develop have a compatible version
    that runs under MS-DOS????  I'm trying to sell the ST because
    I bought a Digital Starion 600i PC, and my computer museum is
    rather full.  Anyway, transferring data a 720K floppy at a time 
    is getting rather tiresome.  If I could backup to a series of
    floppies and then restore to the PC, I'd be a happy camper.

I never ported GOOD to DOS.  It has crossed my mind on occasion.

It might be as simple as recompiling it, and changing a few system
service calls to their BIOS equivalents.

When I stopped hacking the Atari I went to Macintosh, and Dantz DiskFit
backup program was enough like GOOD to make me happy.  I have a PC, but
I never back it up.

Hi,

I was a purchaser of an original 520 ST back in 1985.  I now have a
Macintosh and would like to get a few bucks for the old Atari system.

The system is pretty basic: 520 ST (512K), TOS in ROM, 1 floppy drive, and
monochrome (640x400) monitor.  I also have an Epson LX-80 letter quality
printer and a 1200 baud modem (both in good condition).  I never bought any
software for the machine (everything I ran was freeware).

What would you say the system is worth?  And do you think there is anyone
out there (or in this file) who would buy such a system?

    Not much.  I haven't had *any* interest on my system (see .195),
    which is a 1040ST, with a fair amount a software, two floppy drives,
    a hard drive, and a hand scanner, and I was asking $450 (and will
    consider offers).  Of course, I wanted to get rid of the whole thing
    in one shot, which might have limited potential interest.  
    
    I'd say you'd be lucky to get $100 out of a 520 ST.

Hmm, that's interesting.  Maybe I should try to unload my Epson for $75 in
the classified ads and be done with it.

Are there "reclaimers" out there that would give me some cash for the rest
of my system?  Sad that it has to get to this point :-)
