| Well, this seems to be as good a place as any to put this since I can't
find a college lacrosse note. The pairings for the NCAA tournaments
have been announced.
Men: Seeds: 1. Syracuse (11-1) 2. North Carolina (11-2)
3. Princeton (10-2) 4. Towson State (9-2) 5. Johns Hopkins
(6-4) 6. Maryland (8-4) 7. Loyola, Md (8-3) 8. Navy (8-4)
9. Yale (11-3) 10. Brown (11-3) 11. Duke (7-6) 12. Notre Dame
First round, Sat May 9: Notre Dame at Hopkins, winner at Towson 5/16.
Duke at Maryland, winner at Princeton 5/16. Brown at Loyola, winner at
North Carolina 5/16. Yale at Navy, winner at Syracuse 5/16.
Neither UMass nor Virginia made it. The Hoos finished 7-5. UMass
finished 9-3 with a weak schedule, beating Yale and losing to Syracuse,
Loyola and Brown. We also only played Rutgers and Delaware from the
rest of the top 20 and I feel our weak schedule over the past couple of
years has finally caught up with us.
Women: Princeton at Temple, winner vs Harvard. Penn State at
Virginia, winner vs Maryland.

| Hawk, with all due respect, this slob was NOT a lacrosse player, but
rather a rugby plaer. Any reference to this slob as a rugby player is a
disservice to law-abiding lacrosse players. Law-abiding lacrosse players do
not play rugby in his/her car.

Oh, I just think it was a massive, common braincramp amongst noters.
I'd say it was similar to what Chris had last night on Northern Exposure.
I'm surprise Lacrosse hasn't been shown on Northern Exposure yet, since
it is a game of NA origins. It'd fit in perfectly. In fact, if I was
writing the plot line, I'd have an old boyfriend of Shelley's be a
Major Indoor Lacrosse league player come to Sicily on vacation....

This is for all the people who have been sitting on the edge of their
chairs wondering about the Lacrosse conference (BIGQ::LAX) with baited
breath!
It's toast!
History!
Nuked!
gone!
In other words, we need to add a new bank of lockers to the lockerroom
for the (hopefully) newer residents of this fine sport who have no
place to go.
I remain,
part of the construction firm!
