In other words, this note would have been Wardle's Wettest Dream.
 The perfect bandwagon note.

We can set up the WardleShooter so anybody who wants to jump ship
from an "oh-fer" team can just line it up and fire themselves right
over into any one of the top guns.

 Brilliant concept !!!

Well, in two weeks, Buffalo plays Chicago. That should get rid of one
team. Houston has a week off in two weeks and NE to play this week.

The Oilers are looking good. New Orleans doesn't play a "real" team
until the Bears at the end of October, but look for them to choke on
    Eagle bones.
198.5The Patriots can't even do *THIS* right ;-).VAXWRK::NEEDLEMoney talks. Mine says "Good-Bye!"Tue Sep 17 1991 14:210

Look for the Pats to drop Houston from the undefeated list this week.
Houston didn't look that good last night and they'll be looking forward
    to their off week.

I'll bet on Indy as the team with a real shot at 0-16. Look for Meyer
to be gone in short order along with Henning in SD.

Look for Buffalo, Houston, and Chicago to 4-0 after next week.

N.o will lost to vikes IMO.

S.D, Tampa, Cinncy, and Indy will be 0-4.

Buffalo and Chicago seem to find ways to win, especially the Bears.

Chargers and Bucs find ways to lose...kinda like my team.

S.D. plays Denver, K.C. and the Raiders over the next
three weeks. They could possibly be 0-6, without hope.

Chicago is something like 22-2 in September since their
SB season of 1985. They'll go 2-1 against the State of NY,
having beaten the GIANTS(boo, hiss :-)), ground the Jets,
    get stampeded by the Bills.

Buffalo has a creampuff schedule and, barring injuries
to key offensive player(Thomas, Reed, Kelly), won't really
be tested until they go to Miami and LA to play the Raiders.

N.O. always has trouble with the Vikings. They'll fall
    this week.

Mr Hyde is back in River City. The Bengals will be 0-4.

Has this note died? Noone is keeping track. According to memory
    (definitly RAM) the stats are:

    Washington	6-0 Indianapolis	0-6
    New Orleans	5-0 Cinncinati	0-5

Personally I was rooting for Houston, but thought Buffalo had the best
chance - but this is the NFL - strange things happen.

Now it looks like the Colts are the best bet.

Washington and New Orleans do not play each other this year.
Washington has already beaten Cincinnati. Indianapolis and Cincinnati
do not play each other this year. New Orleans plays neither Indy nor
    Cincy.

Remaining games are as follows: Cincy: at Dallas, at Buffalo, at
Houston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, at Philadelphia, Raiders, Giants, at
Miami, at Pittsburgh, New England. Their Buffalo and Miami games are
Monday nights. Bet ABC is happy about that.

Indy: at Buffalo, Jets, open date, Miami, at Jets, Chicago, Green Bay
at Milwaukee, Cleveland, at New England, Buffalo, at Tampa Bay. Their
second Buffalo game is a Sunday night.

Saints: at Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Chicago, at Rams, San Francisco,
at San Diego, Atlanta, at San Francisco, at Dallas, Raiders, at
Phoenix. Atlanta game is Sunday night, Raiders is Monday night.

Skins: Cleveland, open date, at Giants, Houston, Atlanta, at
Pittsburgh, Dallas, at Rams, at Phoenix, Giants, at Philadelphia. Game
at Giants is a Sunday night.

Well, the Washington Redskins took this contest. The only thing left
to be determined is how far they will go.

Also, Washington is the quietest 11-0 team that I seen in ages. The
relative lack of hype has been real enjoyable.

Puh-leeze. This so-called "lack of hype" must be a regional thing. The
Redskins are all over the media here in the mid-Atlantic and upper-South.
Geez, every day it seems like a new article ... Rypien on Monday, Millen on
Tuesday, Darrell Green the next day, over to Gibbs on Thursday, back to
Rypien, over to Monk, then Sanders, then Clark then ...

If it isn't HBO going on location to the Washington Monument then it's CBS
pumping up the next Skins game ...

This will continue as long as the Skins stay unbeaten. And I for one am
praying that they visit The Vet on Week 17 with a 15-0 record.

Yeah. Not like the hype the stinkin' Giants get when we gotta see
them play the likes of Tampa Bay or someone on CBS week in, week
out, even if the battle of the year might be going on in the
    nationally televised game...

Yes the hype must be regional. I was living in the Detriot area during
the 85 Bears and they recieved 3x the publicity that the Redskins are
getting this year. Even 49ers/Giants recieved more last year.

re .13, Why? Do you want the Redskins to stay unbeaten? The Iggles

Oh, yes, indeed they can. The Eagles defense did a very nice job against
the Skins in the first meeting on a Monday night in DC. With a
relatively healthy McMahon at the helm for a full game, the offense should
 get off the schneid, too.

If the Skins come into The Vet on Week 17 with a 15-0 record, it will be a
monster game. It's the 4:00pm game and The Vet will be a madhouse. I
will be shocked if this game isn't the "Madden-Summerall" game.

And the Iggles will give the Skins all they can handle. NFC East passions
 are unlike most other divisions.

The 'Skins lasted 2 games are against the GIANTS (@RFK)
and the Iggles at the Vet. You can bet your bottom dollar
that both NY and Philly are anxiously waiting to remove the
goose egg from the Redskins W-L ledger. Kind of fitting
that if they're gonna do it, their last 2 games are against
their fiercest, and certainly their oldest, divisional rivals.
At this point, it would make my season to see the GIANTS do
it, but with Dudley Doo-Right as coach, well... I think
the Iggles will be the ones to do it if anyone does.

Also, lest we forget, remember 2 years ago when Dallas
won only 1 game. Guess who it was that let them off the hook?
Yes sirree, the Redskins. In RFK no less. And the 'Skins
are a mighty -12 favorite in this weeks game. What's that
tired old clich, 'on any given Sunday?'
