87.1 | safety issue | STRATA::GOODWIN | Tue Jan 07 1997 10:55 | 16
From: SUBPAC::CUMMING "30-Dec-1996 1006" 30-DEC-1996 10:11:14.08 To: @[CUMMING.DIS]DIC,@[CUMMING.DIS]FILMSMETROALL CC: Subj: safety issue Recently a person in the Fab was injured when they picked up a squirt bottle and accidently squeezed it too tightly. The nozzle was pointed at the individual at the time and they received a chemical burn when the material squirted on them. This is a reminder to be careful when picking up the squirt bottles. An SPI was generated and there are folks off looking at potential solutions but in the meantime be aware of the potential for this type of accident. /gec
87.2 | Bulk Chemical Advisory | SUBPAC::BJUBINVILLE | CMP-6 Equipment Engineering | Thu Jan 09 1997 21:45 | 24 |
This applies to the Ammonia only... Slurry is always circulating and pressurized. From Steve Choiniere, Equipment Engineering - SINKS In the event if you have to work on the supply lines for ANY bulk chemicals, you must shut the valves off at the tool and lock them out. The fact of the matter is that certain chemical lines are not always charged. The pumps kick on only when there is a demand for the chemical. If you have and open line that is not shut down, if someone else in the fab calls for the chemical, you are going to get soaked. |
