730.0. "V1.6T Monitor Scroll HANGS" by BSS::LIND (Jim Lind; 592-4099 CX03-1/N14 CNMC-West) Fri May 12 1995 16:40

    SUBJECT: Problem with CONSOLE MONITOR scroll movement

    On PCM V1.6-001 (FT) running on V6.1 of VMS, there is a problem
    with scrolling through the console monitor display:

    $ CONSOLE MONITOR node

    Hit "Prev" button on keyboard to scroll back in the monitor display -
    seems to work OK.

    However, if the previous page button is hit about EIGHT or more times
    in a row very fast, the display will hang.

    This is similar to the problem with V1.5 of PCM, but considerable worse
    since it was much more difficult to lock up the display with the
    scroll function in that version of the product.

    WORKAROUND - Hit previous page slowely, giving the system time to
    update the display and keep up with you. If the display becomes hung,
    use the "File" pulldown in the window to EXIT the window and start
    all over again.

Looks like what I was suffering today. I was not anymore able to give any
commands on the command prompt. The CONSOLE MONITOR displayed things just nice,
one just could not scroll any more nor use any commands. But this was with V1.5
MUP A version.
