283.0. "CONNECTION LIMIT Override" by BSS::LIND (Jim Lind; 592-4099 CX03-1/N14 CNMC-West) Sat Jun 18 1994 02:15

The advertised connection limit of PCM is 200.

What is the design limit of the PCM software?

I have many, quiet network devices to provide connectivity to.
Therefore, a limit above 200 may be useful to me.

What is involved in allowing the product to configure for more
    that 200 nodes?

Will the product reject the 201st system? If so, what must be
changed to allow it to go further.

Jim,

We designed and built the software without any hardcoded limits for
  anything.

Out of the box, you will be able to configure and manage up to 400
systems, its just that if you have problems, dont come to us ;-)

No, its the 401st system that will be rejected. We may change this
"default" in future releases, it depends what our customers want and
how much we can test and be comfortable with supporting.

I am not going to tell you how to change the "default" here in this
public forum, when you get to your 401st system, mail me and I will
let you know what to do next.

Cheers,
Phil

In that case I repeat (with an enhancement)...

If you have problems DO NOT come to us, go to Dan ;-)

Cheers,
