I'm having a peculiar problem with a table in one of my appendixes. I first tried to build the book in it's entirety, but after several hours it still hadn't got past the W-level warning message about LMF tags. By a process of elimination, I narrowed the problem down to my last appendix. Further elimination using comments pinpointed the problem to a table within the appendix. I processed the appendix separately, with the table commented out, and lo and behold, everything worked perfectly. I then processed the table on its own... and it too worked perfectly. I'm baffled. I put the table back in, and now it has stopped processing at the LMF tag warning once again. If you think you can help me root out the problem you can copy the following files: These files are DIGITAL INTERNAL USE ONLY HNGOVR::PUBU$:[FLOOD.TEMP]APPENDIX_F.SDML !The appendix, table commented APPF_TAB.SDML !The table, plus additional tags PROFILE_NEW.SDML !Profile for APPENDIX_F PROFILE_TAB.SDML !Profile for APPF_TAB I must admit that this has me mystified!!! See for yourself. Kevin.

There is a known problem with online footnotes (documented in the 1.2B release notes) that causes the tag translator to hang in some circumstances. See the release notes and note 285 to see determine if your problem is the same. Thanks, Mary | |||||

Bingo, Thanks Mary, guess it pays to read the release notes. Seems it's not only <HEADn> tags that cause the problem, but also <TABLE> tags. Grateful for your help, Kevin. |
