Their are plenty of opportunities for riding on a steam train on the
Mid Hants Railway during May.

All trains carry a licensed buffet, and refreshments are also available at 
Alresford. Their is a picnic area adjacent to the up platform at Ropley.
There are railway shops at Alresford and Alton stations. Round Trip tickets 
give unlimited travel for the whole day, and Family Round Trip tickets are 
also available.

Train services are;

	Saturday 4th, 18th & 25th

		2 train service - Hourly
		First Train 	- Alresford 11.15, Alton 11.30
		Last round trip - Alresford 15.15, Alton 15.30
    
	Sunday 5th, 19th, 26th
	Monday 6th & 27th

		2 train service - Hourly
		First Train 	- Alresford 11.15, Alton 11.30
		Last round trip - Alresford 17.15, Alton 17.07

		26th - Austin day, vintage Austin motor cars and light
		commercial vehicles at work and on show.

	Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th

		Spring Enthusiasts Weekend
		Special trains, double heading, shed tours, demonstrations
		and sales stands.
		Frequent trains throughout the day from around 11.00

	Tuesday 28th to Friday 31st inclusive

		1 train service
		Alresford departures - 10.40, 12.20, 14.00 & 15.50
		Alton departures     - 11.30, 13.10, 15.50 & 16.40

    I regularly post details of the Mid Hants services/events in this
    conference, as the railway is very convenient for the Basingstoke area.
    
    I normally give details for the coming month, so that their are several
    previous topics covering previous months.
    
    I have not received any complaints from the moderator. If he or she
    would prefer me to group these together in a single topic, I will be
    pleased to comply in the future.
