| I telephoned Stream today to get the price to Digital for Microsoft
Word for Windows 95. Ordering through Stream in accordance with the
Software Select policy, as explained by the Stream resource requires
the following three part numbers.
Microsoft Word for Windows 95 documentation $27.00 222878
media $27.00 222881
License $72.00 224505
Total $126.00
The shrink warp price through Stream is $98.00, but Stream is not
allowed per Digital agreement to sell shrink wrap software to Digital.
It sure does not make sense to me to pay $126 when we can get it for
$98. Better yet, CompUSA has it for $89.00.

| Point of information, is that the process in Digital Europe is different whereby
Digital purchase all Select product from European Software Center in Galway
via the software Utility process. I believe the reasons for the different
processes between the U.S and Europe are related to the sale of
Software-800 18 months ago.
In addition to the above, the Select agreement allow the enrollment site
obtain the Select CD and additional CDs (ad additional subscription fee) which
avoid having to purchase the media for individual products and all you then
have to purchase is the doc.s and license.

Right, just what someone did here: bought a single CD for a crucial set of
products. Unfortunately, someone lost that CD, which I discovered only
yesterday when I needed it. :-(
