3042.0. "Can you answer a question about Internet?" by DV780::CHAPIEWSKYS () Thu Apr 28 1994 12:56

    I need to obtain a list that identifies the businesses and
    organizations that subscribe to internet services, ie. they are
    connected to the internet. Does anyone know who I can contact to
    obtain this information? Please include a telephone number if
    possible.

    Thank you

    Find someone in digital who is ON the internet. There are lists of
    commercial establishments that are Internet connected contained within
    the Internet. Are you looking for a specific name?

These books are a little out of date, but you may be able to find
updated versions; they're available from Digital Press, if they still
exist :^)

They get paid by the Nat'l Science Foundation to provide this stuff. I
recieved a nice package from them that spells out who (in the commercial
space) is connected to the Internet and how. Lots of other stuff, too.
