RE: .0 I believe the re-opening has been delayed a week or two. It
is planned to re-open in MLO5 soon though. The entry in VTX shows
DOOVAX::PDCSTORE or PDC Employee Store @ DOO as mail addresses. Did
    you try sending mail?

Typed from a flyer we rec'd:

The PDC Employee Store formerly located at the NQO site is scheduled to
open at MLO5-1 on Sept. 22, 1993. If you are a Digital employee, or
retiree, you are eligible to purchase from the store. The store sells
a wide variety of items such as office furniture, tools, tables,
    chairs,
workbenches, and numerous other non-computer items sent to PDC for
    reuse.

    Store prices are very attractive.

    Store hours will be:
    Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
               Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Items purchased may be by personal check, bank check, or money order.
    For
additional information, and a list of items for sale, reference VTX by

Moving to the Mill, eh? And with the Mill shutting down, I wonder ...
Will they also offer genuine Digital sand-blasted souvenir bricks,
lacquered planks, tastefully preserved Mill spiders and centipedes,
and electronic treasures from the Mill pond? ;^)

Although in Europe, I know the PDC does a very good job in finding
second 'lives' for obsolete, written-off and scrap equipment, from
computer-hardware to kitchen equipment (from site-closings, for
example). Thus preventing costs or adding profit to the Corporation. If
these products cannot be re-used in their original form, the next step
is part-reuse. Then comes material recycling (plastic, glass, ferro's,
non-ferro's, precious metals, etc.). If not for financial-economic reasons,
then for environmental reasons, the PDC is a very good thing. Use it!
