I have heard Les' name pronounced by the press a couple of
different ways. What's right?

1. YOU - MIN - AH
/
2. YOU-MEAN-AH
/
3. UHM-IN-AH

On WBZ radio, HE pronounced it:

YOU - MIN - UHH
At least, that's how I heard it.
He came across rather well.

YOU MIN UHH
BTW, word was that yesterday the town clerks finished counting, but
they have not reported the numbers to the Secretary of State for all
races. They did not report the numbers for Umina during the election
but only for the other two candidates for governor. (Admittedly, there
is a lot of opportunity for fraud, but nobody seems to mind.) The results
are expected to be into the Secretary of State's office in about two
weeks, as I understand it.

| The party promotes putting people on the ballot who are honest, competent
and do not owe political favors (even to the party). The main thrust of
the party is to return the government to the people by giving them access
to public information. The idea here is that the government tends to
operate in secret by keeping public information away from the public
(such as lists of the 780 or so divisions of government subject to
mandated audit, lists of pending legislation, lists of salaries paid to
public employees and so forth). The idea is that a well-informed
public and legislature will tend to do what's right and corruption will
be harder to keep secret.
As Len has apparently gotten the 3% of votes necessary to become a
party this means that Independent High Tech will be a party in
Massachusetts.
