| hi Don,
it's a strange error message, but i think it indicates that some
directory it expects in the namespace is not there.
do you know if the MCC_SYSTEM:MCC_DNS_SETUP command procedure has been
run? i think it contains all the options to setup your namespace with
the necessary DNS directories to create domains, entities, etc. and
the release notes has a description of what is needed?

| Does The dns directory DEC:.vro.s.mcc exist?
Did the VMS process used by MCC have access to the dns directory in the
corporate namespace.

A customer of mine has the problem described in the base note when
attempting to reregister a Sun after a dictionary update. I was taking
the message to imply that the agent on the Sun and the MIB were out of
synch. Any other ideas?
