CSSE32::DUTKO "Nestor Dutko, VMS/VAXclusters CSSE" 18 lines 27-JAN-1989 14:25
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the Desktop-VMS notes conference
On January 9th, the Desktop-VMS software was announced as part of the
global Digital Desktop announcement.
The purpose of this notes conference is to facilitate a forum where
general questions about the Desktop-VMS environment can be brought up;
the directions of the platforms, products, ideas for future
incarnations of the product, etc. It can also be used in asking general
questions about how to perform certain operations in a Desktop-VMS
Environment.
What this notes conference is specifically NOT to be used for, is in
reporting problems. Problems found with the software should be
reported through the QAR system on TRIFID.
Thank you,
The moderators...

Note 1.0 Introduction 1 reply
RTL::GRASS "Steve Grass" 19 lines 6-JUN-1989 15:19
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the DECwindows Widget Directory notes conference.
The purpose of this conference is for widget writers to announce widgets for
application writers to use in their DECwindows applications. In doing this,
technology can be shared.
Each base note should be a description of one widget and replies should be
changes to the base note. Any questions or more information needed should be
sent as mail to the widget contact or entered in the widget's appropriate notes
conference. If entered in this conference, it will be deleted.
A note template is the first reply to this note. Please use it when writing
a new note.
If used correctly, this conference can be a great benefit to all.

| The read-only version of this conference, which was initially announced
in note 2.25 here, has been re-instated.
From today, UKCSSE::SHADOW_DECWINDOWS is a copy of this conference.
UKCSSE is in Reading, so - as before - it only makes sense to read that
version if you are in Europe.
The software which creates and maintains the shadowing is being tested,
so if anyone notices any problems with the shadow conference I would
appreciate a mail letting me know. The updates are done daily at 5am
England$Time, which is usually midnight Boston$Time.
